Is Hallmark’s Providence Falls your new obsession? Well, we feel the same way. The first movie of the three-part special event premiered on August 2, introducing us to the time-traveling love story of Liam O’Connor (Lachlan Quarmby) and Cora McLeod (Katie Stevens).

Liam and Cora first fall in love in 1844, but the universe has other plans for Cora, who is meant to marry Finn (Evan Roderick). When that doesn’t happen, Liam is sent to present-day Providence Falls to rectify Cora’s fate in this new timeline. The angels want Liam to help Cora fall in love with Finn so she can fulfill her destiny. Easier said than done.

Liam still harbors all of his love for Cora, but she has no memory of their past love for each other. Despite Cora’s lack of memories, there’s an instant connection with Liam. She just can’t quite put her finger on it yet. Even as Liam tries to keep Cora at a distance, their undeniable magnetism keeps drawing them back together. Will Liam and Cora ultimately defy destiny, or will Liam make the ultimate sacrifice?

Providence Falls is based on the book trilogy series written by Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets. The first book in the series is called Chance of a Lifetime, followed by An Impossible Promise and Thief of Fate.
