Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Are Engaged! NFL Star Proposes After 2 Years of Dating
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially taken their relationship to the next level. After more than two years of dating, the A-list power couple is engaged.
News of the pair’s engagement was confirmed by the couple themselves in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, August 26. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the post said.
Swift and Kelce’s love story has been one for the ages. It began after he attended the Eras tour in July 2023 and later gave the pop star a shoutout on his New Heights podcast later that month.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift admitted to Time magazine in December 2023. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
Although Swift was in the middle of her record-breaking tour when this all began, she and Kelce managed to start seeing each other in private. They went public with their romance when she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game at the end of September 2023.
While the superstars still tend to keep their relationship private, they haven’t been afraid to flaunt their love on occasion. He attended dozens of Eras tour shows, and she’s been a staple at Chiefs home games. They’ve also attended various sporting events, including the U.S. Open, Stanley Cup, World Series, and more. Plus, Swift was by Kelce’s side at events for his Tight End University program in June 2025.
In August, Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, helped Swift announce her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, on the New Heights podcast. She also joined the siblings for an interview, which marked her first podcast interview ever.
Clearly, this love is the real deal, and Kelce and Swift are ready to make their union official. Let the wedding planning begin!
