Are ‘American Idol’s John Foster & Girlfriend Brooklyn Bourque Still Together? Their Latest Update
America fell in love with John Foster when he was a contestant on Season 23 of American Idol earlier this year. During his run on the show, where he finished in second place, he introduced viewers to his girlfriend, Brooklyn Bourque.

Are John Foster and Brooklyn Bourque still together?
Yes, Foster and Bourque have continued to make their relationship work despite his busy schedule. In fact, they were recently able to get some time away together, and it was all thanks to American Idol.
In May, Foster and Season 23 winner Jamal Roberts were gifted Disney Cruise Line vacations, and Foster took Bourque with him for the getaway in August.

Prior to the trip, Foster was busy with shows and spending a lot of time in Nashville working on new music. He and Bourque also spent time in Florida together back in June. “@brooklyn_bourque and I are sending all of our family love from Navarre Beach! We’re enjoying some relaxation in between working to get some great things going,” Foster shared at the time.
How long has John Foster been dating Brooklyn Bourque?
Foster and Bourque have been dating for more than a year. They celebrated their one-year anniversary on May 28, less than two weeks after American Idol concluded.
“It’s been an amazing year and you’ve been beside me every step of the way,” Foster shared on Instagram on the special day. “Happy 1 year anniversary. I love you so much.”
Who was John Foster’s friend Maggie on American Idol?
Another important female figure in Foster’s life who was mentioned multiple times amid his Idol journey was his friend Maggie Dunn. She and friend Caroline Gill died in a car accident in December 2022.
The country singer said he “one million percent” knew music was the path he wanted to pursue after the teenagers died. “Before that, I was kind of just teetering around the idea of music, playing it on the weekends here and there. It wasn’t until that day, when I went through the worst day of my life, when I sat down and wrote that song [“Tell That Angel That I Love Her”],” he said on the Fable House podcast.
He wound up singing the song on an episode of American Idol and then released it as his first single after the show ended.
Dunn and Gill died after a police officer crashed into their car on a suspect chase. He was reportedly driving at 86 miles per hour and ran a red light when the accident took place, according to WAFB.
