‘Perfect Match’: Madison Errichiello Reveals Real Reason Behind Split With Freddie Powell

Madison Errichiello and Freddie Powell may not have been the winners of Perfect Match, but the Love Is Blind and Love Is Blind: UK stars were undoubtedly one of the strongest couples on the third season of the reality dating show.
While the couple left the show confident about their connection, they knew they would face a massive barrier when it came to location, as Madison lives in the Twin Cities, while Freddie lives across the pond in Manchester. Madison sat down with Swooon to discuss where her relationship with Freddie stands today.
According to Madison, she and Freddie have been broken up for quite some time. “It ended probably like a month after filming,” the Perfect Match star told Swooon. While there was clearly genuine love there, Madison and Freddie’s split was a result of distance.
“Distance was just a little bit too hard for us,” Madison admitted. “I think [it was hard], you know, getting back into our daily lives.” While the exes are best known for their stints on Love Is Blind in their respective countries, both have well-established careers and lives that they could not step away from, with her as a social media manager and artist, and him as a funeral director.

As Madison put it, “[Freddie] still has a full-time job and his family and everything, which takes a lot of his time. You know, the time difference was really hard, and I think [pursuing a relationship] just would have required more time than we had for each other.”
Looking back at their time on Perfect Match, Madison revealed that she knew Freddie was the one from the moment she saw his face in the boardroom. “I just saw him on the board, and I was like, I think we could be compatible. We’re both from Love Is Blind, but just hearing how much he cares about his family, and he’s a funeral director, which I thought was really cool and interesting.” When it came to their first date, Madison shared, “Honestly, before I even walked back through those house doors, I knew that I was gonna pick Freddie.”
Ultimately, Madison and Freddie did not make it to the finale of Perfect Match, where all of the housemates from the season got to vote on which couple was the strongest. Instead, they were taken out by the final compatibility test, when their answers about their relationship did not align. Recalling the finale, Madison told Swooon, “The finale had some twists and turns, that’s for sure. I think the last compatibility challenge was harder than expected and kind of random.”
In the end, Madison assured us that she is not upset that she and Freddie did not win. However, she was shocked “to see Lucy and Daniel win in comparison to Ollie and AD.”
