‘Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner Dated Another Woman From His Season After Theresa Nist Divorce
Gerry Turner is happily in a relationship with Lana Sutton now, but it’s not his first post-divorce romance. In fact, he actually rekindled a relationship with a woman from his season of The Golden Bachelor after splitting from Theresa Nist in April 2024.
Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts interviewed Nist on the Wednesday, August 20, episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and spilled the tea about the secret romance.
“Theresa, I think you know, Gerry dated Christina from our show for a while after…” Noles pointed out, seemingly referring to Christina Kempton, who was eliminated during Week 3 of The Golden Bachelor.
“You know, now I know that,” Nist replied. “[It was] a while ago. I’m actually the one who suggested he go out with Christina.” Swarts said she and Noles also made that suggestion, adding, “We’re all on the same page. They went out for, like, six months.”
This piece of information shocked Nist, who responded, “What?! I didn’t know that!” Swarts also confirmed that Kempton was able to read part of Turner’s memoir that’s coming out later this year.
“I’m anxious to see what he’s going to say in the book,” Nist admitted, adding that she “asked” her ex what he wrote. “He’s like, ‘Oh, you know, I’m under contract, I can’t say anything.'”
Turner and Nist got engaged during the finale of The Golden Bachelor in 2023. They were married for just three months before their split. The exes have attributed distance and not being able to agree on a place to live — he’s from Indiana, she’s from New Jersey — as one of the main reasons for the breakup, while Turner also speculated that his cancer diagnosis may have played a part. Nist previously shut this down, saying on the Almost Famous podcast, “I would have never left my husband over an illness.”
However, she’s also publicly said that there were other factors that led to the split on her end, but she hasn’t publicly disclosed those yet. “I’ve never ever said what the reason is, but right now I decided to start writing about it,” she teased in June. “I don’t know if I’ll ever release it. It might just be for me.”
