It didn’t take long for DC fans to fall in love with Adrian Chase, aka Vigilante, in HBO’s Peacemaker. The antihero is completely obsessed with John Cena‘s Chris Smith. Sure, Adrian’s more than a little unhinged, but he’s also totally endearing and a ride-or-die friend. In addition to Peacemaker creator James Gunn, we have to give props to the actor who plays Adrian: Freddie Stroma.
Now that Vigilante is back in action in Peacemaker Season 2, you might be curious about the Harry Potter star’s love life. It turns out that Stroma, like several of his castmates, is married to someone who also works in the entertainment biz. Not only that, but the couple met on set! Who is Johanna Braddy?
Like her husband, Braddy has been acting for years, though before her film and television career took off, she was planning on pursuing opera singing. The Atlanta native is known for leading Video Game High School, which ran from 2012 to 2014. It was during that time that Braddy met her costar, Josh Blaylock, and there was online speculation they were married. In 2015, however, the actress said they were only “great friends.”
Beyond VGHS, the 37-year-old was the star of the 2009 horror film The Grudge 3, with more credits in Quantico, Lifetime’s UnREAL, ABC Family’s Greek, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Easy A, Paranormal Activity 3, and The Levenger Tape. More recently, she had a brief appearance in Gunn’s Superman.
How did Freddie Stroma and his wife meet?
Showmance alert! Stroma and Braddy met while filming reality show parody drama UnREAL in Vancouver. Even more fitting is that the British actor’s character was the show’s Bachelor, and Braddy played one of his contestants, Anna Martin. They started dating in 2015.
During an appearance on Harry Connick Jr.‘s talk show, Stroma dished on his proposal. The 38-year-old popped the question when he went back to shoot an episode for the show’s second season in May 2016. Stroma led Braddy to believe they were going to the movies, but with the help of his UnREAL costar Josh Kelly, Stroma arranged to show a home video on the big screen that showed sweet moments — he even managed to include her UnREAL audition tape!
When did Freddie Stroma get married?
The couple said “I do” toward the end of 2016. “It feels great to know that she’s family, and that we are together now,” Stroma told People shortly after their Atlanta wedding. “It’s an amazing feeling. But I’m looking forward to going back and just having some us time now. It will be really nice.”
The Bridgerton alum gushed about their special day, too. “Seeing her come down the aisle, that was just gorgeous,” he said, later adding that they’d postponed their honeymoon due to work conflicts. “She looked incredible. There might have been a few [tears]. I managed to wipe them away in times for words to be said.”

Does Freddie Stroma have kids?
It doesn’t look like the couple have any kids. If they do, they don’t appear to have mentioned it in any interviews, and there are no signs of children on their social media pages.
