‘Stranger Things’ Star Millie Bobby Brown & Husband Jake Bongiovi Welcome First Child
Just ahead of Stranger Things‘ final season, Millie Bobby Brown shared some exciting news with her fans on Thursday, August 21. The actress announced that she and husband Jake Bongiovi are now parents.
Brown and Bongiovi tied the knot in May 2024, and just over a year later, they’ve expanded their family.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
They signed the note, “And then there were 3,” along with their names.

Brown appeared on the Smartless podcast earlier this year and opened up about wanting to have kids. “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19,” she pointed out. “And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
She confirmed that Bongiovi, whose father is Jon Bon Jovi, knows “how important” motherhood is to her. “I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally,” she added. “It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married.’ So that was his thing.”
We can likely expect the couple to add to the brood in the future, as well. “I really want a family. I really want a big family,” Brown confirmed. “I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”
Brown and Bongiovi were first linked in 2021 and got engaged in April 2023. Just over a year later, they secretly tied the knot.
