‘Welcome to Plathville’s Lydia & Zac Reveal Family Plans and Their Future With Reality TV
Lydia Plath and Zac Wyse are still basking in that newlywed glow. The Welcome to Plathville couple got married in February 2025, just months after meeting each other, and they’re looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.
So, what’s next for the couple? Lydia and Zac spoke with Swooon (on the anniversary of the day they first met!) about their exciting future and what their next plans are. Could they be expanding the Welcome to Plathville family soon?
Not quite! Lydia and Zac revealed that they’re taking a month-long road trip in September. “We got a new car. We’ve got to break it in,” Zac said. After they return from their trip, Lydia dished that they “have a few weddings in October, and then we’re kind of just buckling down for the rest of the year. This will be our first Christmas, like, together together.”
She added, “Last Christmas, I worked Christmas Eve, and then I flew in on Christmas Day, and then flew out New Year’s Eve. So we didn’t even get to spend New Year’s together, so this is going to be our first holiday.”
Now that they’re married, Lydia and Zac are looking forward to starting a family, and they have a timeline for when they’ll be welcoming a little one. “We are just taking one step at a time. That’s all you can do, but we’re still on track for waiting at least a year,” Lydia said. “We’re just like, wait a year, and then we’ll see. Maybe we’ll wait a little longer, or, I don’t know. We’re still playing it by ear, but we’re still on track.”
Lydia has eight siblings, while Zac grew up with three siblings. As for how many the Wyses will have, Lydia dished, “We’re still kind of thinking three to five [kids].” She added, “Why not have a lot of children that we can just give so much love to and have so much fun with?”
The couple’s relationship has been featured in the current season of Welcome to Plathville. There’s been some tension, mainly from Ethan Plath, about Lydia and Zac getting married so quickly. So, what does Lydia and Zac’s future with reality TV look like?
“The idea of being on TV is fun, but I think the way that we’ve kind of seen it portrayed, there’s definitely some snippets that it’s just a piece of a puzzle, right? Not the whole thing. Some stuff that we’ve said that is important never makes it,” Zac said.
He acknowledged that reality TV is “very focused on drama in a lot of ways,” but they are not. “We don’t like to talk behind people’s backs or talk about others people’s chaos in their life,” Zac noted. “We want to just live our lives and hope to give some joy and and bring other people along for the ride.”
Zac continued, “We’ve been talking about that and navigating it. What does the future look like in this? And so, we’re just kind of playing it by ear, really, and just also seeing how the family feels. There’s a lot of ups and downs that a lot of people are experiencing. We still talk to everybody. It’s not like one thing said keeps us completely separate, and I think that’s what can be over dramatized.”
