Britt Stewart headed down the aisle and straight to the ballroom!

After tying the knot on August 23 with her Season 31 partner, CODA and Switched at Birth star Daniel Durant, Dancing with the Stars pro Britt Stewart went straight to New York City to begin rehearsals for Season 34.

After revealing that her new partner for the season is basketball legend Baron Davis on Good Morning America, the pro caught up with Swooon on the Dancing with the Stars red carpet to talk married life and share the adorable way she is keeping her newlywed husband close every step of the way.

For the first time since her marriage to Durant, Stewart gave Swooon an inside look at their relationship. She shared, “Married life is amazing. I met my soulmate, the love of my life. We got married in the most beautiful setting with our most favorite people. The whole theme was about connection. We just wanted to feel connected with each other, our family, our closest friend, with nature, and that’s exactly what happened.”

As for returning to the ballroom, Stewart revealed that Durant is most certainly cheering her on. “Daniel knows what it’s like to be here, so I’m just grateful that he’s so willingly letting me literally go from the aisle back into the ballroom,” she said.

The Dancing with the Stars pro also let us in on a piece of jewelry she was wearing to keep their love close to her heart. On the carpet, Stewart wore a stunning gold necklace with a sign language pendant. She told Swooon, “This is a company called Love Sign, and it’s a Deaf owned company. It’s just the ‘I love you’ sign, and Daniel and I have matching necklaces.”

Stewart first met Durant back in 2022 when he was named her partner for Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars, following the success of CODA. As Durant was born deaf, he taught Stewart ASL [American Sign Language] while she taught him how to dance, so that they could communicate both on and off the dance floor. After coming in fifth place on the show, the duo found that they did not want to leave each other’s side. Durant told People, “I think, in that moment, we realized what we had felt for each other. It was more than friends, and naturally, we connected and started dating after that.”
