Are Tucker Des Lauriers & Rubina Bernabe Still Together After ‘The Amazing Race’?
Big Brother Season 26 alums Tucker Des Lauriers and Rubina Bernabe are both contestants on Season 38 of The Amazing Race, but they’re not on the same team. Instead, Tucker is competing with his brother, Eric Des Lauriers, and Rubina is competing with her sister, Kristine Bernabe.
Tucker and Rubina were a couple during filming of the race, though. Although they’ve been competing against each other, they’ve taken time to sneak in some PDA and sweet moments throughout the show so far.

No, Tucker and Rubina are no longer together. They split in May, just weeks after they returned home from filming The Amazing Race.
“Tucker and I are no longer together,” Rubina wrote on social media. “Grateful to have met him & for the love we shared. Feeling grounded and focused on this next chapter of growth. We appreciate your support, your respect, and the space to move through this chapter privately. And a big thank you in advance for continuing to support me through every season.”
Tucker posted, “There has been a lot going on lately and I wanted to finally address things. Rubina and I are taking a break. It’s very sad but deep down we both know it is what’s best for both of us at this time. I’ve loved and appreciated all the support from each and everyone of you and hope I can still have with you all moving forward. I appreciate your understanding as I navigate this privately.”
The pair’s relationship lasted for less than a year, as they started dating during their time in the Big Brother 26 house during summer 2024.
Why did Tucker Des Lauriers and Rubina Bernabe split?
While Tucker and Rubina did not totally specify the reason for their split, she admitted that filming The Amazing Race definitely wasn’t helpful. The two did not get to see each other much during filming because they were competing separately, and the romance was still new at the time.
“It’s cool that we have another shared experience. But was it helpful for the relationship? I would say not,” Rubina told Us Weekly. “I don’t think it was. Zero out of 10 recommend doing it not with your partner, especially as a new boyfriend and girlfriend.”

Tucker and Rubina appeared to be on amicable terms when they attended the same premiere party for The Amazing Race in September. When a segment about their relationship played during the episode, Rubina shouted out her ex, and he made his way toward her so they could shake hands.

Around that time, Tucker told Us Weekly, “We’re friends. We’re fine. There’s no hard feelings there. I think we’re both just happy that each other are happy. All is good.” Rubina added, “I’m always going to have love for the guy, and I appreciate, always, whatever I get from any experience. I can’t ever be mad. I think there’s always a lesson or a blessing in everything. You gotta choose how you see things. So, yeah, I’m always going to be grateful.”
However, just days later, fans began speculating that there was drama between the pair. It was revealed that another Big Brother 26 cast member, T’Kor Clottey, had moved in with Tucker in New York City, leading to speculation that they were a romantic item.
Tucker responded to the questions in an Instagram Q&A. “THIS IS WILD…. T’Kor is my friend and she’s looking for jobs and an apartment in nyc so I’m letting her use my spare bedroom for a few weeks to help her out. BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS DO.”
