Married at First Sight‘s fateful Decision Day is around the corner. So far in Season 19, the Texas-based newlyweds have met for the first time, said “I do,” gone on their honeymoons, and started living together. Though there have been a fair number of highs as they’ve gotten to know each other as husband and wife, there have also been a handful of lows.
Josh Black and Jalyn Garcia are no exception. While they began their journey with far less drama than some of their fellow participants, several issues arose around their one-month anniversary. In the next batch of episodes, Josh and Jalyn will either choose to stay married or get divorced. So, what’s their current relationship status? Are Married at First Sight’s Jalyn and Josh still together?
When we last caught up with Josh and Jalyn in Episode 10, they were still together after marrying in Episode 1. Josh, 31, owns his own roofing company, building it from the ground up after a difficult childhood. Jalyn, 27, is a realtor, cycle instructor, and “hopeless romantic.”
Aside from some minor concerns about their lifestyle differences — Jalyn said she wasn’t as adventurous as her husband — no major disagreements or roadblocks emerged for the couple, who already exchanged “I love yous.” In fact, Josh gave his wife a ring upgrade on their honeymoon, and he went back on his decision to have Jalyn sign a postnup. They even went on a skydiving date once they got back home.
Things took a tense turn in Episode 8 when Jalyn discovered that Josh lied about unfollowing his ex on social media. The experts arrived to help them through the issue, and then something else came up. Josh regularly attends the Burning Man music festival and has found a community there. Jalyn, however, said she wouldn’t ever want to go. Josh agreed to compromise and find a community elsewhere.
Per usual, the MAFS cast has kept their social media profiles free of spoilers, but we looked a bit more closely and noticed that Josh and Jalyn don’t follow each other. Josh recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself and Jalyn during filming.
“A little peek behind the curtain… wild to think how it all started 💍” he wrote in the November 4 Instagram post. “Fun fact about photo 3: before the wedding, Jalyn and I exchanged gifts and somehow ended up buying the exact same box. Crazy how in sync we already were 😂”
