The final moments of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3 shook the foundations of MomTok. Taylor Frankie Paul and Chase McWhorter (aka Miranda McWhorter‘s ex-husband) met up for a “date,” which had everyone wondering if these two would take their relationship beyond just flirting.

At the Season 3 reunion, which dropped on December 4, Taylor and Chase were confronted about their shocking meet-up. They even addressed where their relationship stands today.

After yet another roller coaster ride of drama with on-again, off-again ex Dakota Mortensen, Taylor finally put that relationship to bed for good. As of December 2025, Taylor and Chase are not dating. Taylor is currently busy filming The Bachelorette after being selected as the Season 22 lead. If she and Chase were dating, she certainly wouldn’t be looking for love on a reality TV show!

However, viewers started to wonder if Taylor and Chase started dating after watching the Season 3 finale. They met up for dinner so Chase could apologize to Taylor for the “super condescending” way he had treated her in the past, especially at the Halloween party we saw in Season 2.

Chase revealed that he and his girlfriend, Kate, “technically broke up” on the Monday before his dinner with Taylor. Both Chase and Taylor acknowledged that this outing felt like a “date.” Taylor asked Chase to clarify a previous comment he made at the gym about having feelings for her. “I do think that’s kind of the nature of doing what we did… is that feelings can for sure develop,” Chase said, referring to the soft-swinging scandal that involved Taylor, who replied, “Well, they did… develop.”

Chase then said, “Honestly, Taylor, I always thought you were one of the coolest people ever. In the final moments of the Season 3 finale, a very flirtatious Chase asked Taylor, “Should we kiss for old times’ sake?” She didn’t immediately turn down his offer! Given the timeline of Season 3 filming and Taylor being cast as The Bachelorette lead, it’s entirely possible that Taylor and Chase did date for a period of time.

Chase served as the bartender for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3 reunion special. “I don’t know why it’s such a big deal. I’m not married to Miranda anymore,” Chase said about his “date” with Taylor. Miranda didn’t seem to be too pleased about Chase and Taylor’s flirty situation, but she said she heard it was just a “coffee date meet-up to put water under the bridge.”

Taylor and Chase, as well as their spouses at the time, were heavily involved in the soft-swinging scandal that initially broke up MomTok. When Taylor exposed the situation (and announced her divorce from Tate Paul), tensions rose within MomTok. Taylor and Miranda’s friendship fell apart. “Her husband was the one [who] had feelings for me. That’s where the story gets confusing,” Taylor said in Mormon Wives Season 2 about Chase and Miranda. “Because I ‘stole my best friend’s husband’ but that’s never been the case. If Miranda was my best friend, I never would have [done] that to her, ever.”

Taylor and Chase also had a complicated relationship after she admitted that she had a sex dream about him, which blurred the lines even further. “I didn’t think a dream was a big deal considering we were making out with each other and touching each other on the weekends,” she told Miranda. Taylor confessed that she and Tate, alongside Chase and Miranda, had sex in the shower together. “We also had sex in the same bed, at the same time. We would blindfold each other, and you would have to guess which husband you were kissing, and a couple times we did that,” she continued.

Tate and Taylor split in 2022. They share two kids, Indy and Ocean. Chase and Miranda split in 2024 and currently coparent sons Brooks and Cohen.

“I think we all have regrets,” Chase told Us Weekly in 2024. “I think we all regret what happened. … We probably should have not been there. But at the same time, why does this have to be a public thing? It seems like this was all happening behind closed doors, and now Taylor’s using it as a springboard to notoriety when she’s the one that actually just cheated.”

As of Mormon Wives Season 3, Taylor and Dakota are not on good terms. After last season’s struggles, Taylor and Dakota started Season 3 with a vision of being cordial coparents to their son, Ever. At Stagecoach, Taylor and Dakota’s relationship took a flirty turn, and Dakota was clear about wanting to get back together. However, another secret surfaced. Dakota had a flirty texting situation with Taylor’s family friend — specifically, her mom’s friend. That was the final straw for Taylor.

“We’re horrible, really,” Taylor told Chase about her relationship with Dakota. “It’s been horrible.” She then added, “We’re done.”

Following the news of her becoming the next Bachelorette, Dakota said he was “happy for Tay and I hope she finds happiness no matter what.”
