Cyrus and Schwarzenegger shared a friendly moment inside the awards ceremony. With her mom, Tish Cyrus, watching on, the singer leaned in for a hug from her ex, as he kissed her on the cheek.
Schwarzenegger was in attendance at the Globes to support his show The White Lotus, which was nominated for Best Television Series. Several of his costars were also nominated for individual awards, although no honors were taken home.
Meanwhile, Cyrus was nominated for Best Original Song for “Dream as One” from Avatar: Fire and Ash, but lost out to “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters. She also presented at the show alongside Pamela Anderson.

Cyrus and Schwarzenegger were first linked in the fall of 2014 and dated until April 2015.
In June 2025, Arnold Schwarzenegger reflected on his son’s relationship with the pop star while appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. He called Cyrus a “wonderful, wonderful human being” and gushed over how “very, very talented” she is.
“She came up to Sun Valley when we were skiing up there, and she was just such a wonderful houseguest and everything like that,” he continued. “We just all loved her. She was just a really good, good person and fun to hang out with.”
While he admitted that he’s “sorry that it didn’t work out,” he also praised his Schwarzenegger’s now-wife, Abby Champion, whom he married in September 2025.
Cyrus, meanwhile, got back together with Liam Hemsworth after her split from Schwarzenegger. They wound up getting married in December 2018, only to split by the following summer. She moved on with Cody Simpson and Kaitlynn Carter before meeting her now-fiancé, Maxx Morando.
