Does University of Miami QB Carson Beck Have a Girlfriend? His Hanna Cavinder Split & More
The Miami Hurricanes and Indiana Hoosiers are facing off in the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, January 19. The Canes will be led by quarterback Carson Beck, who transferred to Miami in January 2025 after playing five seasons with the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
Carson is mostly private about his personal life online, leaving fans with questions about his relationship status. Scroll down for what we know about his love life today, as well as his headline-making split from a fellow college athlete last year.
Does Carson Beck have a girlfriend?
Beck does not currently appear to have a girlfriend. After going through a high-profile breakup in early 2025 (more on that below), the athlete appears focused on his football career and potentially winning a National Championship rather than his love life.
Are Carson Beck and Hanna Cavinder still together?
No, Carson and Hanna are no longer together. Carson started dating the influencer and basketball player in 2024. At the time, he was the starting quarterback at the University of Georgia, and she was a senior on the basketball team at the University of Miami.
The two met on social media and began dating while pursuing athletics at separate schools. Hanna became a staple in the stands of Beck’s games at UGA. At the end of his fifth season as a Bulldog, Carson announced that he would be transferring to the University of Miami for his final year of eligibility.
However, the relationship between Carson and Hanna didn’t last long after his January 2025 transfer. By that March, fans noticed that she had deleted content with him from social media. She confirmed the split while appearing in Kai Trump’s YouTube vlog in April 2025 (Donald Trump‘s granddaughter has committed to the golf team at Miami beginning in 2026).
Why did Carson Beck and Hanna Cavinder split?
While speaking candidly to Kai in the vlog, Hanna opened up about what went wrong in her relationship with Carson. While there were rumors that he cheated on her, she shut down speculation, telling the teenager, “I didn’t break up with him because he was cheating. I broke up with him because of who he is.”
Hanna and her twin sister, Haley, could be heard venting to Kai about the breakup in the video, particularly referencing a trip to Nashville where he was “on his phone” the whole time. When Kai asked, “Does he have friends?” both ladies insisted, “No,” with Hanna adding, “Nobody likes him.”

Haley went on to explain, “He wanted people to stop him and take a picture,” while Hanna said, “He would, like, flip off people at the bar, and I’d be embarrassed. So I broke up with him, and then all this cheating s**t came out. I had no idea. I didn’t break up with him because he was cheating.”
On the sisters’ joint TikTok page, Haley then posted a cryptic video hinting that she had been warning Hanna about Carson before the breakup. “I just want to say one thing because I can’t be too crazy unfiltered on here: If your sister comes to you or your friend or someone that’s really important in your life, and they have a gut feeling about a relationship or a friendship, for example, and they just tell you that on a repeated basis, trust your dang sister. Trust her,” Haley insisted. “She’s always right. I promise you. Or your mom. They’re always right.”
Where do Carson Beck and Hanna Cavinder stand now?
Carson and Hanna are no longer on speaking terms after their breakup. He opened up about the split for the first time in an October 2025 profile for ESPN.
“You make mistakes as a person, but it sucks that you have to go through something like that with someone that you care about, and now it’s all over the Internet,” Carson admitted. “Half of what you see in the media is true. Half of what you see is not true. So, people pick their side of the story and run with it. The people that know the truth know the truth.”
Carson said the split was “difficult” for him and confirmed that he had not spoken to Hanna since they ended things.
