Jim Curtis blushed while talking about his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, on Today.
The author and wellness expert sat down with Craig Melvin to discuss his upcoming book, The Book of Possibility, on the NBC morning show’s Monday, January 26, episode. Towards the end of their conversation, Melvin asked Curtis about how his relationship with Aniston came to be.
“Tell me, how did you guys meet? What’s your origin story, as the kids would say?” Melvin asked. According to Curtis, the two simply met through mutual friends.
“We were just introduced by friends. That’s it,” Curtis stated. “We found out that we had mutual friends, and we started to just chat. It took a long time. We chatted for a long time, and we became close.”
Referencing Aniston’s iconic role on the sitcom Friends, Melvin went on to joke, “Which friends? Like Joey? Was this Ross? I couldn’t resist!”
When asked how long the two have been dating, Curtis shared, “Along 10 months now. Almost close to a year.”
Melvin wrapped up the interview by stating, “I’m not gonna put you on the spot anymore because you’re kind of blushing right now.” Curtis replied with a smile, “Yeah, I sure am.”
Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018. While Curtis confirmed he and Aniston first met nearly a year ago, news of their romance broke in July 2025 when they were photographed vacationing together in Spain.
While neither Aniston nor Curtis confirmed their status at the time, Aniston’s longtime friend and costar Adam Sandler reacted to reports of their romance at the July 2025 premiere of Happy Gilmore 2. “Come on, whatever is going on with Aniston, I’m happy for her,” he told Access Hollywood. “She’s just a solid human being, anything she’s doing. But I’m always wishing her the best because I love her.”
In September 2025, Aniston seemingly soft-launched her and Curtis’ relationship by sharing a photo of what appeared to be the back of his head in an Instagram carousel. “Thank you summer ☀️❤️🙏🏼,” she captioned the post.
Aniston officially hard-launched their romance by posting an Instagram birthday tribute for Curtis in November 2025. “Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of herself hugging Curtis.
Curtis shared more photos from his 50th birthday celebration via Instagram at the time, including several of himself and Aniston. “If this is a dream I don’t want to wake up. ❤️,” he affectionately captioned the upload.
