Who was Calvin Klein’s wife?
Before he married Kelly, Calvin was actually married to textile designer Jayne Centre. They were married from 1964 to 1974 and have a daughter, Marci Klein, together.
The fashion designer married Kelly, who was his assistant at the time, in 1986 while they were on a buying trip in Italy. They separated in 1996 and officially divorced in 2006. Despite their split, they have remained close friends.

Is Calvin Klein in a relationship today?
Following his divorce from Kelly, Calvin began dating Nick Gruber, who was 48 years his junior. At the time, Nick was 20 years old, and Calvin was 68. They dated for two years, from 2010 to 2012. Since 2016, Calvin has been in a relationship with model Kevin Baker.
The fashion designer addressed his sexual fluidity in 2008. “I’ve experienced sex with men, with women. I’ve fallen in love with women. I’ve married women. And I have a family,” he told Vanity Fair. “I have experienced lots of things that have influenced my world.”
Where is Kelly Klein now?
Kelly worked in the fashion industry before and during her marriage to Calvin. She began pursuing photography and has released six coffee table books over the years. She’s also done photography work for British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and more magazines. Per her Instagram bio, she is also a designer and ceramicist.
She moved into a new home in North Haven, New York, in 2025. Kelly has a son, Lukas, whom she welcomed via surrogate in November 2007.
