‘Love Is Blind’: Inside Brittany & Devonta’s Cabo Fight

“I think it’s very important to think before you speak,” Brittany Wicker told Swooon, looking back at her argument with her fiancé, Devonta Anderson, during the Love Is Blind Season 10 couples’ getaway to Cabo. “In that moment, if I would have sat there and continued the conversation, I was gonna say some things I couldn’t take back.”
During Episode 6 of Love Is Blind Season 10, newly engaged couple Brittany and Devonta’s romantic trip took a turn when she confronted him about the lack of attention he was showing her. She told him, “I just feel like we have not been connecting with each other… Do you even find me attractive? ‘Cause you don’t ever tell me.”
While Devonta defended their connection, telling her, “Every time we’ve been together, we’ve been having fun, talking… The fact that I don’t wake up in bed next to you, like, sorry, I get up early.”
Reflecting on their argument, Brittany revealed to Swooon, “The person that I fell for in the pods definitely aligned [with Devonta in person] the first few days of being in each other’s physical presence.” However, she continued, “Then you can kind of see it was a little disconnected after the first few days.” She added, “A little bit of life started happening.”
She explained that in Cabo, she found herself thinking, “What happened? Where’s the person that I fell in love with?”
In Cabo, Brittany argued that she and Devonta should be in their “honeymoon phase,” while Devonta told her they weren’t on their honeymoon. Looking back, Brittany confessed that she was not seeing a happily ever after in their future during that conversation. She revealed to Swooon, “What was going through my mind was, there’s absolutely no way this is going to work.”
However, she chose to leave the room, instead of saying something she would regret. “I dismissed myself,” she explained. “To me, it was kind of like, I needed to remove myself, because I’m really about to hurt this man’s feelings because he’s irritating my soul right now, and I need to just walk away.”
While we’ll have to wait until the second drop of episodes to find out if Brittany and Devonta call it quits, Brittany told Swooon, “For me, that was definitely like, there’s no way that we’re going to make it past Cabo.”
