Carolyn Bessette was clearly a believer in “Deniseology” in Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. Leading up to Carolyn’s wedding to JFK Jr. in Episode 6, Carolyn and her sister, Lauren Bessette, put on a Denise Austin workout video.
The sisters could be seen doing squats and following Denise’s instructions in the video. The fitness expert was watching the new FX series and was totally surprised that her exercise video was featured.
“Was watching Love Story and heard a familiar voice… ME FROM THE 90s!!!!” Denise wrote on Instagram. “Carolyn Bessette was working out with me before her wedding to JFK JR!! So cool for me to relive these times… I’m even getting texts from the younger generation like my daughters friends who think it’s cool haha …”
In her post, Denise was all smiles as she posed next to her television that was paused on Love Story’s workout scene. She shared the video on her Instagram Story and wrote, “How AWESOME is this?!” She also thanked Love Story for including her workout video in the show.

Denise rose to fame in the ’90s with her wide variety of fitness videos, especially her Hit the Spot series. She also starred in Getting Fit with Denise Austin, which aired on ESPN2 for several years.
The series features plenty of notable names from the ’90s. Kelly Klein, Calvin Klein’s ex-wife, played by Leila George, addressed the series in recent Threads post.
She screenshot a scene featuring Leila and Alessandro Nivola, who plays the fashion designer and wrote, “Watching @lovestoryfx with leilageorge and alessandro.nivola is a trip down memory lane ! It may not be perfect but captures 10 years of my life with and without CBK.” Kelly also shared a fan edit that put the spotlight on her friendship with Carolyn in the series.
