The inaugural season of Age of Attraction premiered on Netflix on March 11, introducing Love Is Blind viewers to a new kind of dating experiment. While the daters could see each other, the series leaves one very important factor out of the equation: the contestants’ ages. With a cast ranging from 22 to 60 years old, singles were challenged to date outside of the parameters set by age. Of course, some found love within their age range, while others explored age gap connections.

Where was Age of Attraction filmed?
The first few episodes of Age of Attraction were filmed at Brew Creek Centre in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, near Vancouver. The stunning natural venue “is a secluded sanctuary in an intimate, exclusive forest setting.” The centre writes, “Ours is a serene, tranquil place surrounded by nature — minutes from Whistler, yet miles away from it all. ” While Age of Attraction certainly has us hoping to find love in their “secluded sanctuary,” their website makes it clear that Brew Creek is currently only available for corporate retreats and meetings.
According to Decider, other filming locations include Queen Elizabeth Park and Pemberton Weddings & Events in Pemberton Valley.
What have the Age of Attraction creators said about the location?
Jennifer O’Connell and Rebecca Quinn, founders of Velvet Hammer Media, who created the series, told Deadline, “There’s been a million dating shows on tropical islands, and I think we wanted to stand out a little bit, but also find a place that’s really beautiful.” Instead of landing somewhere tropical like Mexico or Fiji, similar to other series, the duo wanted to find an “outdoorsy” location.

According to O’Connell, Age of Attraction chose to film at Brew Creek Centre because they “were trying to create a very high-end resort type situation where you would really be able to enjoy nature and do lots of outdoorsy things.” She explained, “It was nice to shoot somewhere that you haven’t seen a million times on reality TV.”
