‘Southern Hospitality’: Who Is Mia Alario’s Ex-Boyfriend Troy Radtke?
Mia Alario shocked TJ Dinch and Molly Moore earlier this season on Southern Hospitality when she revealed that she and boyfriend Troy Radtke had broken up. Mia had just returned from a trip to Hawaii with Troy, so the news came as quite a surprise to her friends and costars.
“I am heartbroken,” she admitted afterwards. “Troy has definitely been my most serious boyfriend I ever had. I love him, and he loves me intensely. When we’re together we’re like barnacles on each other, we just can’t remove each other. And when we’re apart, we’re both so sad and depressed.”
So, what went wrong? Scroll down to learn more about Troy, the relationship, and breakup.
Who is Troy Radtke?
Troy has worked for Align Technology since 2017, according to his LinkedIn. He has moved up in the company since starting there nearly a decade ago. His first position was as a sales associate, and he is now the senior regional sales manager. Align Technology is the creator of the Invisalign system.
Prior to being hired by Align, Troy spent six months working as an account executive at Paramount Lead Solutions in Chicago. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in finance.
How did Mia Alario meet her ex-boyfriend Troy Radtke?
Mia and Troy met on a dating app in 2023. Although Troy is from Charlotte, North Carolina, he matched with Mia while he was in Charleston. He was already on his way home when she messaged him asking to meet up, and he turned the car around to take her on the date.
A long-distance relationship began from there and lasted for two years before they split in 2025.
Why did Mia Alario and Troy Radtke split?
Mia and Troy split because they had been in a long-distance relationship for two years, and he was making no plans to move to Charleston to be with her. Going into the Hawaii trip, Mia was expecting a possible proposal, but that didn’t happen, and when they got home, she had a realization that it was time to end things.
“We’re sitting down and we’re basically like, ‘What’s the endgame here?'” she explained. “He obviously thought I was thinking about an engagement. I was like, ‘No, you coming to Charleston and ending this long distance.’ And he’s like, ‘Mia, I truly cannot give you an answer about when I’m going to come to Charleston and move.’ It’s been two years. Something should have happened by now.”
Mia said she didn’t see “any forward movement” when it came to the relationship taking the next step. “I think I just had to let the relationship go,” she admitted.
