There’s a new Heartie in the When Calls the Heart family! Erin Krakow has given birth to her first baby with her husband, Ben Rosenbaum. The couple announced their little one’s arrival on June 23.
Krakow and Rosenbaum, who fell in love on the set of the Hallmark series, have been keeping a low-profile for over a month. Their last Instagram post was in honor of Mother’s Day, and it turns out they’d already welcomed their baby!
The actors confirmed to People that their daughter arrived in April. “Our precious new family member entered the world in early April,” the couple told the outlet. “Our daughter has been the greatest gift, and we are loving getting to know her better with each passing day.”
They also shared the first photos of their daughter and revealed that their loved ones have told them that she “looks like a total combo of the two of us, but so far, we only see a resemblance to either of us in flashes of a little facial expression or certain angles in pictures. She just looks like her own little person to us!”
The couple, who are also celebrating their first wedding anniversary in June, opened up about how parenthood has changed them and admitted that their “priorities shifted” as soon as their baby girl arrived. “First and foremost, now we are parents, and the needs of our child are always top of mind. That happened instantaneously in a way no other life experience has affected us before,” they noted.
Krakow and Rosenbaum made their last public appearance at the Walk MS event in Los Angeles on March 29. Just a few weeks earlier, they had celebrated the 13th season of When Calls the Heart and the premiere of prequel Hope Valley: 1874 at a Los Angeles event on March 18.
“It’s already hard to remember life before she arrived,” Krakow and Rosenbaum gushed. “We are loving our roles as parents, and it feels like being parents together has only deepened our partnership. We are, however, a bit more tired, and Erin — who was a non-coffee drinker previously — has had a change of heart on the matter.”
The arrival of Krakow and Rosenbaum’s baby comes after costars Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace welcomed their first child, which they announced on Mother’s Day. Fellow costar Chris McNally and wife Julie Gonzalo are also expecting their second child. Krakow previously told Swooon that the WCTH baby boom was the most “delightful surprise.”
