Steve Burton & Wife Michelle Lundstrom Share Update Amid His Break From ‘General Hospital’

General Hospital veteran Steve Burton is giving a glimpse into his hiatus adventures with his wife, Michelle Lundstrom. The actor, who announced he was taking a “short break” from the long-running soap in February, shared an update about what’s going on in his life while he is away from set.
Burton and Lundstrom will celebrate their one-year anniversary this May, and his new marriage played into his decision to take a break from GH. He told his fans that he wanted to spend “some quality time” with his family, and he’s certainly making the most of his time off.
“We don’t just visit cities… we experience them. The best city in the world? New York just hits different when you’re with the right one and the best around. @themoneymichelle,” Burton captioned a series of Instagram photos that included the couple on Fifth Avenue, having coffee, and more. Burton and Lundstrom also visited her mom, who lives on Long Island. Lundstrom was raised in the New York area.

When Burton announced his break from General Hospital, he promised fans that he would return as Jason Morgan “this summer.” He said he was “grateful for all the support.”
Burton and Lundstrom have taken many trips since they said “I do” in May 2025. They traveled to Hawaii for their honeymoon and stayed at the lavish Montage Kapalua Bay resort. Later in the summer, they returned to the resort with their blended family. Burton shares three kids, Jack, Brooklyn, and Makena, with ex-wife Sheree. Lundstrom has two daughters from a previous relationship.
The Daytime Emmy-winning actor will also be reuniting with his costar, Bradford Anderson, for a series of comedy shows across the U.S. from now until July. Burton and Anderson cohost the popular podcast, That’s Awesome with Steve Burton & Bradford Anderson.
