Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have officially tied the knot! After getting engaged in August 2025, the power couple is officially married after their wedding on July 3. People reported that Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony.
Leading up to Swift and Kelce’s big day, it was confirmed by multiple outlets that they were tying the knot at Madison Square Garden. The venue allowed for privacy thanks to underground entrances and the iconic arena’s lack of windows. Decorations were seen getting taken into the venue in the days before the special occasion.
Kelce popped the question to Swift after two years of dating. While she was recording an interview on his New Heights podcast, the NFL star was setting up a romantic proposal scene in the backyard of their Kansas City home. They confirmed the engagement in a joint Instagram post captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Following Swift’s breakup from Joe Alwyn and fling with Matty Healy, her relationship with Kelce secretly began after he attended the Eras Tour in July 2023 and then gave the singer a shout-out on his podcast. They went public at one of his home football games that September.
It was expected that Swift and Kelce would wed before the 2026 football season, as Kelce announced in March that he was signing a three-year contract extension to continue playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. After winning the Super Bowl in 2023 and 2024, then returning to the big game and losing in 2025, the Chiefs missed out on the playoffs completely last year. While there was speculation that Kelce would be retiring after the disappointing season, he’s chosen to return to the field with his teammates once again.
Swift has been supportive of her now-husband’s career, although she avoided being photographed at his games during her third season as an NFL WAG in 2025. On that same note, Kelce was in attendance at several Eras Tour shows, including various international dates, before the tour concluded in December 2024. Congrats to the happy couple!
