‘Love on the Spectrum’s Abbey Romeo & David Isaacman Split After 5 Years Together
What To Know
- Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman from Love on the Spectrum, have reportedly ended their relationship.
- The couple was together for five years after meeting during Season 1.
After five years together, Love on the Spectrum‘s first couple, Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman, appear to have called it quits.
The news came on April 9 when The Sun first reported that the couple could not “come to an agreement on when to get married.” While Abbey has been ready to tie the knot for years, David still needed time. As of writing, neither Abbey nor David has confirmed publicly that they have broken up.
While the couple was not part of the main cast in the newest season, they did appear during the Season 4 finale, when they traveled to Madison Marilla and Tyler White‘s engagement party. Ahead of the festivities, Abbey told her mom, Christine, that neither she nor David was ready to get married.
“We’re still together, but neither one of us are ready to get married. But we’ve been together for over four years,” she explained. “The good news is, we already feel like we’re married in our hearts.” That said, she revealed the main reason she didn’t want to “rush” marriage was so that she wouldn’t be “a divorced lady like [her] mom.”
As Madison and Tyler’s engagement party approached, Abbey seemed to get more and more excited about getting engaged herself. She confessed, “I want to be a bride so badly.”

Netflix
The fan-favorite couple met on Season 1 of the series on an iconic zoo date. At the wildlife center, they bonded over their shared love of lions, Disney movies, and In-N-Out Burger. As time went on, the two were featured in Seasons 2 and 3 of the series as a couple.
During Season 3, Abbey debuted her original song, “Boyfriend Forever,” dedicated to David. Following the season, she performed the song live at multiple events, most notably during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
