Jennie Garth is telling her story in her new memoir I Choose Me, and that includes a deep dive into “personal stories” from throughout her life. That will include her two divorces and marriage to husband Dave Abrams.

Garth met Abrams in 2014 after being set up on a blind date by one of her friends. The actress wasn’t looking for a new relationship at the time, but decided to attend the double date to “practice dating.” From there, “Things just lined up and I was like, ‘I don’t need it, I don’t want it,’ and there it came,” she previously revealed on her podcast.

Is Jennie Garth still married to Dave Abrams?

Yes, Garth and Abrams are still married. However, they went through a rough patch in their relationship in 2017, which even led to a divorce filing the following year. In February 2019, the couple withdrew their divorce petition and have been committed to making their relationship work.

“They have been working hard on their relationship, and they’re in a really good place now,” Garth’s rep told People at the time. “They’re very happy.” Garth later told the outlet, “We both had separate learning to do, and then coming back and sharing that growth was kind of the fiber that connected us back together.”

Who is Dave Abrams?

Abrams is in the hospitality industry. He owns the restaurant The Douglas in Los Angeles, which opened in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also previously dabbled in acting. Abrams has an uncredited role on That ’70s Show in 2006, and his most recent acting gig was on an episode of 2 Broke Girls in 2015.

Did Jennie Garth date Luke Perry?

Garth and Luke Perry‘s characters dated on Beverly Hills 90210 in the 1990s, and while promoting her memoir, she admitted to People that he was her “first true love” in real life, too.

“Everyone imagined him as their first true love,” she admitted. “But it really was confusing. It got a little blurry at times. There were a lot of intimate conversations and moments between these two characters, and I think I got caught up in it and I allowed myself to think that it was real.”

However, she said she “believes that there was something real” between them, noting that they “had a very special relationship” while working on the beloved series. Once the show ended, though, they both got married and became “really great friends,” Garth added. “That was all just a silly dream, but my teenage self really believed it.”

Who are Jennie Garth’s ex-husbands?

Prior to Abrams, Garth was previously married to musician Daniel B. Clark from 1994 to 1996 and Peter Facinelli from 2001 to 2013.

Facinelli was the one to pull the plug on the marriage in 2012 after 17 years together. Garth admitted to People that she was “angry, hurt, sad, and just tormented” by the split for years. However, she has since forgiven her ex.

“I don’t know, there was a weird switch where one day I just said, ‘I don’t want to carry this anymore. I have done this for long enough. It’s impacting my relationships with other people. It’s impacting how I feel about myself. I’ve got to let it go. I’ve got to forgive him,'” she revealed.

The exes are now close friends and amicable coparents, but Garth revealed on the Armchair Expert podcast that she went through a period of depression after the divorce, leading her to drink heavily while taking medication that she’d been given for flying.

“I was broken. I didn’t know how to be alone and deal with it all,” she admitted.

Does Jennie Garth have kids?

Yes, Garth shares three children with Facinelli. Their first daughter, Luca, was born in 1997, followed by two more girls, Lola, in 2002, and Fiona, in 2006.
