‘Drawn Together’: All About Prime Video’s Bodyguard Romance Movie Adaptation
Another day, another Mercedes Ron adaptation! After the enormous success of the Culpa Mía and Dímelo movies, Prime Video isn’t slowing down on bringing the Spanish author’s books to the screen. Though the latest one, Drawn Together, isn’t about a forbidden romance between step-siblings or a brother-love triangle. It’s about a wealthy heiress falling for her bodyguard.
Drawn Together is based on Ron’s upcoming Enfrentados duology about Marfil Cortés (Ester Expósito) and Sebastián Moore (Hugo Diego García). “I’m thrilled to be able to bring such a beloved saga to the screen,” the author said, per Vogue. “After years of waiting, its moment has finally arrived, and there’s no better way to make it happen than by partnering with Pokeepsie and Prime Video. I can’t imagine a better Marfil than Ester or a better Sebastián than Hugo.”
Pokeepsie Films’ Carolina Bang and Álex de la Iglesia, who made the Culpables movies, say Enfrentados is “more ambitious than Culpa.” The movie “has more action, it is a little bit more adult, so we can work with the fans who are not 18 anymore,” Bang told Deadline. “This amazing thing with Culpa was the audience we reached; mothers and daughters could watch them together. With Enfrentados, we have the same thing.”

What is Drawn Together about?
The book, which will be published in English in September 2026, is centered around Marfil, the daughter of a powerful businessman living in New York City. Her predictable life, which involves taking classes at Columbia and dancing ballet, is upended when she’s abducted in Central Park. Marfil wakes up in a New Orleans hospital and remembers nothing of what happened. Enter her new bodyguard, Sebastian.

Sebastian is unreadable and extremely disciplined in a way that unsettles Marfil. Though she hates feeling caged by him, Marfil’s life is still at risk, so they’re forced to remain in close proximity. Of course, Marfil’s resentment towards Sebastian eventually turns into desire.
What is Drawn Together‘s premiere date?
When Prime Video shared the first look images, the streamer teased that it was “coming soon,” so it can be expected to arrive sometime in 2026.
