  • He lives in California but grew up in Hawaii.

A new trio of farmers will be looking to find their forever love in Season 4 of Farmer Wants a Wife, which premieres on April 21, and the youngest of the bunch is Sean Cavanaugh. He may be 22 years old, but Sean is ready to find his wife.

Sean will be introduced to a batch of single women, who will leave their city lives behind to spend time on his farm. As Season 4 gets underway, here’s your full guide to everything Sean Cavanaugh, from his family business to where he’s from.

Who is Sean Cavanaugh?

Sean is a farm-to-table produce farmer who works on his family’s 22-acre produce farm, which grows tomatoes, peaches, avocados, and more. His family owns The Gathering Table, a farm-to-table restaurant.

The 22-year-old told Swooon on the set of Farmer Wants a Wife that his dad has had “deep roots in the restaurant industry for the last 40 years.” He added, “He’s been the greatest mentor my whole life, and pushing me to do things I haven’t done before. From a young age, I started working in the restaurant industry at 15 years old, and I worked my way up to higher-level positions, and then I’m really under his wing now in terms of taking things over eventually.”

In a first look video, Sean revealed that he’s a “huge outdoors guy” and loves to go backpacking in his free time.

Where is Sean Cavanaugh from?

Sean is a California native. He’s from Solvang, which is where his family’s restaurant is located. Solvang is about two hours outside of Los Angeles.

He revealed to Swooon that he “actually grew up in Hawaii,” where he learned his “base level of farming.” He noted, “Me and my family had a small property on the back side of the island Maui. It was a small town called Hana. We had a parcel there with just chickens and other farm animals, but it wasn’t like a big town farm thing. And then six years ago, my family fell in love with our property that we have now, and I’ve been involved in that for the past six years.”

How was Sean Cavanaugh cast on Farmer Wants a Wife?

Sean didn’t submit himself for consideration as other leading farmers have done in the past. “Honestly, I can say that I wasn’t looking for this experience. It actually found me,” he told Swooon.

Sean said that casting “reached out to me through an Instagram DM, and they pitched this whole opportunity to me, and I genuinely have struggled to find quality girls in today’s day and age, so I figured, I was like, ‘This is the perfect opportunity to find potentially my future wife.'”
