‘RHOBH’: Are Erika Jayne & Boyfriend John ‘Shrek’ McPhee Still Together?
Erika Jayne has been fairly guarded when it comes to sharing information about her love life following her messy split from Tom Girardi in 2020. However, during Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she’s briefly spoken about her new romance with John “Shrek” McPhee, a bodyguard and former U.S. Army Special Operations Sergeant Major.
John has not actually filmed scenes for the show himself, but Erika has talked about him to her castmates. Of course, this was all filmed during summer 2025, so quite a bit of time has passed since Erika first opened up about the relationship.

Are Erika Jayne and John ‘Shrek’ McPhee still together?
Yes, Erika and John are still together. While she intentionally keeps their relationship private and off social media, she confirmed in February 2026 that they’re going strong.
“It’s still going,” she said on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, before admitting that John had yet to meet any of her friends from the RHOBH cast.
On an episode of the RHOBH after-show, Erika also gushed, “I’m having a great time [with him].” She also told The Daily Dish in December that her son, who is in his 30s, has met John and it “went well.”
How did Erika Jayne and John ‘Shrek’ McPhee meet?
Erika met John in June 2025 at a music festival in London. She was performing at the event, and he was there working on Heidi Montag‘s security team (Heidi was also a performer at the show).

Before the concert, Erika actually came across an interview John did on a podcast. “I saw him on a friend of mine’s podcast because I watch everybody’s podcast late at night before I go to bed,” she said on her own podcast in July 2025. “I saw him on a friend of mine’s podcast, and I thought, ‘Wow, that’s an interesting interview.’”
When Erika saw John backstage, she introduced herself. “I was like, ‘Hey, my name is Erika, and I’ve seen a couple podcasts. I’m a fan,'” she shared. Back in Los Angeles, they went on two dates before they were spotted by paparazzi.
“What was a nice, private moment and a nice, private thing I was having for myself was ruined,” Erika admitted.
Will Erika Jayne and John ‘Shrek’ McPhee get married?
In January 2026, Erika was asked on the RHOBH after-show whether she sees herself marrying John in the future. “No, I don’t think so,” she admitted.
The DJ still has not finalized her divorce from Tom. “I don’t know, I don’t want to give anybody these problems, does that make sense?” she explained.
