A Deep Dive Into Adam Sandler’s Daughters: Meet Sadie & Sunny
What To Know
- Adam Sandler’s daughters, Sadie and Sunny, have both followed in their parents’ footsteps.
- Sadie stars in the new Netflix college comedy Roommates.
- Adam’s younger daughter played his kid in Happy Gilmore 2.
Acting skills run in the Sandler family! Adam Sandler joined his daughter, Sadie, on the red carpet for the premiere of her most recent movie. Sadie stars in the new Netflix comedy Roommates, which her dad produced, as a college freshman who struggles to coexist with her roommate and finds herself locked in a war of passive-aggression.
There were no bad vibes, however, at the Roommates premiere on April 14. It was a family affair: Adam’s wife, Jackie, and their youngest daughter, Sunny, were also in attendance. Adam married Jackie in 2003, and their kids came along a few years later. The actor’s family has since appeared alongside him on the big screen.
“Once they do [the job] well, nothing feels better as a parent,” Adam told E! News. “It must be like when you’re the parents of a baseball player, and you’re at the game, and they get a hit. You just go, ‘Thank god.’ It’s just so much relief.”

Sadie Sandler
Sadie, who was born in 2006, started following in her parents’ footsteps at an early age. Her first role was in her dad’s 2008 movie, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, which she followed up with Bedtime Stories. “We’re very tight with this child — everything we do is about the kid, and the kid now all of the sudden worships me,” he told Jay Leno about a year after her birth, according to People. “It was my wife the whole time, and then the last month or two, it’s all Sandler. It’s like anything I do, the kid wants to do.”
Sadie, who already has over a dozen credits to her name, went on to act alongside her dad in 2010’s Grown Ups and 2011’s Just Go with It and Jack and Jill. She also had voice-acting roles in all three Hotel Transylvania movies. But she didn’t land a starring role until Netflix’s 2023 comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. Two years later, she joined a good portion of her family in Happy Gilmore 2 and worked on Jay Kelly next. She’s also balancing her career with school, taking acting classes at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Sunny Sandler
Sunny was born in 2008, two years after her sister. Most of her acting credits line up with Sadie’s, including Grown Ups 2, 2019’s Murder Mystery, and 2020’s Hubie Halloween. She moved on from supporting to starring roles with You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, in which she played the main character. She also played Happy Gilmore’s daughter, Vienna, in Happy Gilmore 2.
The 17-year-old and her sister eventually want to break out on her own in the acting industry, separate from their dad. “I hear sometimes in the house, ‘I wanna be in a movie’ and I say, ‘You are, you were in this, this and this’ and they go, ‘Not yours.’ I go, ‘Oh, Daddy’s not good enough!'” Adam said on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2020, per People. “They wanna do their own thing one day.”
