At the start of Love on the Spectrum Season 1, Kaelynn was a 24-year-old behavioral therapist for children with autism living in South Carolina. Netflix shared, “Like plenty of other twentysomethings, she’s had her share of terrible online dating experiences. After growing fed up with seeing so many dating profiles with hunting trophies, Kaelynn decides to give speed dating a shot.”
Today, she is a published author with a memoir titled Life on the Bridge: Linking My World to Yours as an Autistic Therapist, which came out on March 17, 2026.

Who did Kaelynn Partlow date on Love on the Spectrum?
At the start of Love on the Spectrum Season 1, when asked why she wanted to find love, Kaelynn shared, “I don’t wanna die alone… Um, I don’t know. Being around people is draining, but I don’t like to be alone.” She then attended her first speed dating event, where she met Peter. After some heavy second date prep, she finally saw Peter again.
While their date went well, it was revealed at the end of the season that Kaelynn and Peter had a second date planned, but he canceled on her.
Why did Kaelynn Partlow leave Love on the Spectrum?
During a recent video, Kaelynn revealed that she was not invited back after Season 1. She explained, “They said my story was already covered, and now that I have my own platform, I can continue sharing it.” She also revealed that the cast is not paid, but the show opens many doors for them, as is true for many reality series.

Today, Kaelynn continues to thrive on social media, sharing autism awareness with her audience. While she has been outspoken about her time on the show and her departure, she confirmed that she is still close with creator Cian O’Clery, who wrote the intro to her memoir.
