Steve joined Love on the Spectrum during the first U.S. season. At the time, the San Francisco native told viewers that he had recently been diagnosed with autism. He explained, “I might be a little goofy. I might be a little bit weird. But you know what? The intentions are always good.”
Steve has a sister named Michele Spitz, who is a media producer, voiceover artist, and more at Woman of Her Word. She shares on her website that she is “most passionate about advocating for media accessibility and disability inclusion and awareness.”
Who did Steve Spitz date on Love on the Spectrum?
During Season 1 of Love on the Spectrum, Steve went on dates with Candida and Connie but didn’t feel a lasting connection with either. He returned for Season 2 of the series, where he met Sharona, whom he called “quite a lady.” However, he felt she came on to him “exceedingly strong,” which turned him off.
Are Steve and Sharona from Love on the Spectrum still together?
At the end of Season 2, Steve revealed that he and Sharona had not gone on a second date. Instead, Netflix explained, “Steve is still stepping out on dates, hoping to find his special someone.” After the season, he shared, “Sharona was very understanding and accepting. She took the time to explore what I was expressing and had her own thoughts about it.”

Steve has not returned to Love on the Spectrum since Season 2. Ahead of Season 2, he shared on LinkedIn, “Being on Love on the Spectrum has been wonderful, and I hope it may lead to other opportunities as I love to act and have been told I have a great voice for voice over work.”
He has not posted on social media since July 25, 2025, when he shared a photo of himself posing with his new car. It appears that Shohreh still runs his social media profiles. As of April 2026, fans still say that they see Steve out and about in San Francisco, despite his online absence.

Recently, The Tab shared a quote from someone claiming to be his neighbor, who shared, “They haven’t contacted him to come back. I know I’m not the only one who wants to see him back on, I hope producers bring him back! He isn’t dating anyone at the moment, and says he hasn’t dated much, but still would like to find the right person.” While this has not been confirmed, we’d love to see his journey continue on Season 5 since it appears Steve is still single.
