After Katie Thurston documented her journey to find love on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and FBOY Island, she finally found her husband, Jeff Arcuri, in 2024. They got engaged after just a few months of dating, and after less than a year of being together, Thurston learned she had been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in February 2025.
The former reality star has been very open about her breast cancer journey and how supportive Arcuri has been along the way. However, the two have recently been the subject of split rumors after fans noticed that he’d stopped liking her recent photos on social media.

Yes, Thurston and Arcuri are still married. She filmed a video of herself asking if he was leaving her and posted it to her Instagram Story. Arcuri had no idea about the rumors and told his wife, “I don’t look at Instagram. Are you serious? I’ll go like them right now if you need me to. I don’t like anything.”
They proved that their marriage was going strong with a major life update on April 22. The couple revealed that they bought a home together.
“Life update: @jarcuri and I bought a house!” Thurston shared. “But not just any house, but one that will require a lot TLC to get her ready. This is a huge project we will be documenting over the next year with the help of @salacuse and @jaedon.meek ! This is just the beginning as we create our demo plan.”
Do Katie Thurston and Jeff Arcuri have kids?
No, Thurston and Arcuri do not have children. However, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF), and they froze embryos before she began treatment.
“One day you think you don’t want kids. Then one day you meet the man of your dreams and would do anything to make sure we can start a family in the future,” Thurston shared on her Instagram Story at the time.
After the IVF process, Thurston revealed that 17 eggs were retrieved and six were successfully fertilized. Three of those lasted through the blastocyst phase, and two are now frozen after genetic testing.
How did Katie Thurston meet Jeff Arcuri?
Thurston and Arcuri first connected over Instagram in April 2024, since they were both in the standup comedy scene. The following month, she confirmed she was seeing someone, and they went Instagram official that June. Arcuri popped the question on a trip to Hawaii in September 2024, and they married in March 2025.
When the couple first met, Thurston was living in Los Angeles, and Arcuri was in New York. She eventually moved to the East Coast to be with him.
