The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys isn’t even on the air at the moment, but the drama certainly hasn’t slowed down. The 2026 Stagecoach Music Festival became the epicenter of chaos for Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund. Cheating accusations were thrown around, and apologies were made over the course of just a few days.

So, what exactly went down at Stagecoach? What’s the status of McBee Jr. and Eklund’s relationship now? Swooon has your full guide to this latest McBee Dynasty scandal.

How did Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund meet?

McBee Jr. and Eklund met through a mutual friend and then connected via Instagram DMs. They went public with their relationship in November 2025 after walking the red carpet at the Luminous Gala in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Bravo star hard-launched his romance with Eklund on Instagram with a series of photos. “Never been so certain,” he wrote at the time.

Why did Steven McBee Jr. accuse Allie Eklund of cheating?

The couple attended Stagecoach together, but McBee Jr. left the festival early. On April 27, he posted a now-deleted video on Instagram and accused Eklund of cheating on him. “I still don’t know exactly what happened,” he said. “I just know there was hand holding, grinding, dancing, drunken stupor at an afterparty.”

In a separate post on his Instagram Story, McBee Jr. wrote, “One person at the gym on a Monday. The other drunk and cheating at an afterparty. Crazy.”

Later, McBee Jr. added that he has “no f**king clue what was going through her mind at the afterparty other than there’s a hole there that needs attention all the time.”

Eklund responded to McBee Jr.’s claims and denied any infidelity. “This is really sad to see, and I’m genuinely at a loss for words,” Eklund wrote via her Instagram Story. “Posting everything online before we talked is extremely disheartening and extremely unfair, considering l’ve protected Steven many times during the course of our relationship.”

She also said she’d post the video that McBee Jr. was sent. Eklund then shared a screenshot of an alleged text from McBee Jr. “What a hooker. Unreal. You want to be at every party hooking up with every guy possible. Have a good life f***ing slut,” the alleged text read. The video showed Eklund standing next to a group of men as she watched a performance at Stagecoach.

“I chose not to respond to [McBee] immediately because he has a history of verbally abusing me while he’s in a heightened emotional state, and I felt it was more appropriate to have a private, level-headed conversation once emotions had settled,” Eklund continued. “Unfortunately, that opportunity wasn’t given to me before he decided to make this situation public, and it’s even more disappointing that he made references to promote his TV show, as this situation is very real for me and my family, who prefer to live privately.”

Eklund admitted that the Stagecoach “situation is painful, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’m not looking to escalate things any further, I’d like this to end here. I’ve said what feels necessary in response to his actions and I plan on taking time to process and move forward.”

McBee Jr. appeared to respond to Eklund on his Instagram Story. He shared a screenshot of a text message between the two of them. McBee Jr. asked Eklund to call him in the text, and then he sent her a screenshot of an Instagram DM where someone accused Eklund of being “really close with a guy” at the festival.

“Will say this — without a doubt crashed out after this text was sent to her and her manager and said regrettable things — and I should’ve done better at that moment and I do apologize for that,” he wrote over the screenshot. “But after ignoring my calls and only getting a ‘I’m still at this party’ response — with not enough respect to walk outside and answer my call to explain things, I had to crash out.”

Are Steven McBee Jr. and Allie Eklund still together?

As you would expect, McBee Jr. and Eklund are no longer together. McBee Jr. had alluded to their breakup in a social media video. “I did not expect to wake up to that, given where I was 12 hours ago. The fact that I was out there at Stagecoach with her,” he said. “I’m not going to bash her because she’s a really good person. I’m still mind-blown over it. Candidly, she’s really been such a happy, go-lucky, such a supportive person, and I’m not an easy person to date. I know that. I am extreme type A. I have mood swings. I’m stressed out given what’s going on.”

On April 30, following backlash over how he reacted toward Eklund regarding the cheating claims, the Bravo star posted a lengthy message on Instagram.

“Early Monday morning, I was made aware of an incident involving someone I love deeply and I reacted out of absolute hurt and betrayal. While there are other videos and details I will not be sharing out of respect, this context is not an excuse. What followed is my responsibility alone.”

He continued, “The texts I sent were cruel and degrading. No level of personal hurt and betrayal justifies the language I used, and I am ashamed of those messages. To anyone who has been on the receiving end of such words, I am truly sorry. I recognize that the criticism I am receiving is fair, and I am listening.”

McBee Jr. wrote that he is “absolutely devastated by the decisions and actions of someone I fully trusted and planned a life with, taking those frustrations and pain out on her with cruel and degrading words was wrong.”

He noted that he’s been “in therapy to manage” his emotions “during high-intensity moments, and I am now taking advanced steps to ensure I react better when faced with adversity.” McBee Jr. captioned the post, “Time to get to work.”

Who is Drew Dodson?

Drew Dodson is the man Eklund was accused of cheating on McBee Jr. with. McBee Jr.’s screenshot of the DM sent by a festival goer included a link to Dodson’s Instagram page. The person claimed Eklund and Dodson were “holding hands” at Stagecoach, and Eklund was “dancing in front of him.”

Dodson addressed the cheating claims on his Instagram Story, according to TMZ. He denied the accusations. “I was at Stagecoach with a big group of friends, including someone I’ve known for years,” he wrote. Dodson was “enjoying the night like everyone else,” but this situation “turned into public accusations about both of us without any conversation or attempt to actually understand what happened.”

He added, “I was there with friends, nothing more.”

What did Calah Jackson say about Steven McBee Jr.?

Calah Jackson and McBee Jr. met while filming Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer in 2021. They split in 2025. After McBee Jr. publicly accused Eklund of cheating, Jackson took to Instagram to share details about her own relationship with the Bravo celeb.

“I’ve stayed quiet on this topic for over a year since season 2 came out to focus on my healing and moving forward,” Jackson wrote on her Instagram Story on April 27, per Us Weekly. “But seeing everything come out now & the texts that were posted … what you’re seeing isn’t new behavior or circumstantial, it’s unfortunately who he is and just a small glimpse into what I experienced over the course of my three year relationship with him.”

She then accused McBee Jr. of alleged “emotional and verbal abuse.” She added, “My character was publicly torn apart and false narratives were pushed about me.” Jackson then shared alleged texts between her and McBee Jr. that were sent following her sister’s death. In the alleged text chain, Jackson discussed her intention to move back to Texas and how she wanted to bring their dog.

McBee Jr. then asked her to send him an apartment listing and allegedly wrote, “I want an app filled out and turned in by the end of the weekend. I’ll have movers lined up the SECOND it’s available. I’m so f**king tired of your b*tchiness and you blaming it on your sister’s death. You were a b*tch beforehand, you’re a b*tch now and you’ll forever be a b*tch.”

Three days later, McBee Jr. shared his statement. “I also want to apologize to anyone I have disrespected or spoken to harshly in business, friendships, or past relationships. This has never been my intent, and I am committed to doing the work to be a better person. I am not asking for sympathy, but I am grateful to anyone willing to give me the chance to grow. Time to get to work.”
