The latest Love Island: Beyond the Villa buzz is all around Iris Kendall and TJ Palma’s confrontation with Pepe Garcia. As many Love Island USA viewers know, Iris and Pepe came in fourth during Season 7, breaking up only a short while later. During the first episode of the spinoff season, fans discovered that Iris and Pepe’s beef stems from cheating claims on both sides. The tension was addressed at the group’s holiday party in Episode 5, and it’s had the internet talking ever since.

“I’m gonna let him know all the bulls**t and the lies he said about me, I got receipts, I got text messages, I got screenshots,” TJ said in a confessional during the episode. When TJ approached Pepe about his “lies” at the party, he explained, “You told her that I told you that she cheated on you with me in Koreatown that night you got caught.”

TJ was referring to the night that Iris met up with TJ shortly after the villa, which was caught by TMZ. He pulled up a screenshot of Pepe’s alleged text: “Iris… and you sucked TJ’s d**k and went to see him without telling me AT NIGHT and were there for HOURS.”

Pepe said he never sent the text, so TJ asked Iris to pull up her message chain with Pepe. Iris responded that she couldn’t because her phone was dead, leading TJ to call for a charger. Then, a couple of moments later, Iris’ phone appeared to turn on in her hand, which some viewers have called out on social media. “TJ needs to wake up, this and Iris trying to stop Pepe from reading the messages,” says the caption of a viral TikTok video.

TJ seems to have indirectly addressed why Iris’ phone appeared to light up sans charger. Underneath a May 2 TikTok video, TJ liked a fan’s comment that reads “After they charged her phone so they could pull up every single receipt coming directly from his number which production so conveniently cut btw.”

In other words, TJ seems to be alleging that production may have edited out Iris finding a charger before the rest of the argument continued. We’ll have to wait and see if any of the three address the confrontation and phone debate officially. In the meantime, what’s your take on the Iris-TJ-Pepe drama? Let us know in the comments below!
