‘Calabasas Confidential’s Suede, Jemma & Dylan Spill Where They Stand Now (VIDEO)

“It’s definitely not a love triangle,” Dylan Wolf told Swooon, referencing his Season 1 entanglement with Jemma Durrant and Suede Brooks in Netflix’s new series, Calabasas Confidential. Labels aside, this trio found themselves at the heart of the drama this season, so when they sat down with Swooon following the Season 1 premiere, we had to ask them where they stand today.
In case you missed it, here’s a little recap: In high school, Jemma and Dylan had an on-again/off-again fling. The summer after graduating from college, Jemma became friends with Suede and told her all about her history with “Douchebag Dylan.” While Suede was ready to defend her new bestie during their friend group reunion, everything changed when she actually met Dylan. That night, Suede and Dylan left together, starting up a situationship of their own.
After a few dates, Suede and Dylan cut ties as well, which led Suede to tell him, “I feel like now I get Jemma. You f**ked Jemma up, babe. Like, bad. The way you treat women…” While Dylan and Jemma made amends at the end of the season and left their romantic relationship rather ambiguous, the two confirmed after the season that they are not together either.
“I would not take one single thing back from last summer,” Jemma told Swooon. “I’m a 24-year-old girl. I’m navigating a lot of emotions… I wouldn’t take anything back, but I definitely did learn from it.”
Similarly, Suede confessed, “I mean, I think I would do it all the same.” As her costar Emilie Nelson put it, “I like that. She keeps it real.” Suede later joked, “I had a ball.”
When it comes to Dylan, he agreed, “I wouldn’t change it for the world,” before adding, “Honestly, if there was one that I probably would have changed, I would have probably had a conversation with Jemma a lot sooner. I think that would probably have helped… Probably should have done that, noted moving forward.”
Looking back, Jemma learned, “It’s okay for people to not have the same values as you, and you can’t force people to understand you.” She continued, “Sometimes they have to learn it for themselves.”
