During the Season 4 reunion of Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Jessica Grace Booker shocked viewers by claiming that Edris Khalieque put her through “humiliation rituals” while working on rebuilding their relationship after their split.
Even more surprising? Following the reunion, Jessica Grace and Edris took to Instagram to reveal that they had gotten back together. During their first appearance together since the reunion on Nick Viall‘s The Viall Files, the duo broke down their relationship today and walked back many of their reunion arguments.
In a joint statement, the couple explained, “The Ultimatum reunion was filled with many emotions, and in the moment, we both said things we deeply regret… During the reunion, Jessica Grace mentioned that she was being humiliated. The intent of that statement was being misconstrued, as she was referring to the rejection she has sometimes felt in the relationship versus any specific practice or actions.”
Later in the statement, the duo revealed that reuniting on stage led them to find their way back to each other. They shared, “The dialogue did lead us to reconnect and attend therapy following filming. We are happy to share that we’ve decided to give our relationship another shot, recognizing we have a lot of work and healing to do both as individuals and as a couple.”

On The Viall Files, Jessica Grace and Edris confirmed that they got back together a week after the reunion. Jessica Grace claimed, “What you saw [at the reunion] were two people who were very much unreconciled, very much hurting, and just angry. Not to say that people have fights like that all the time, but we just happened to have ours filmed on national TV.”
During the reunion, Jessica Grace shocked viewers by telling Edris, “Don’t put me through literal hell, have me performing humiliation rituals. Have me being obedient to you, f**king punishing me.”
Diving into what she meant, specifically by the “humiliation rituals” comment, Jessica Grace explained that her time apart from Edris caused her to center herself in the narrative. She shared, “Some of the hurt, it felt good to kind of exacerbate it, because it kind of absolved me from dealing with my issues.”
The duo spent 10 months apart, which led Jessica Grace to feel “okay with being a little reckless with my words at his expense.” She explained, “I was okay with being just vague enough to make sure that people would side with me.”
Today, the couple is working on their relationship, sharing that they have both taken accountability for their actions at the reunion. They shared, “We’ll keep you guys posted.”
