At least, viewers got to know them a little bit before they left the experiment when Edris abruptly proposed to Jessica Grace following another couple’s pre-trial marriage expulsion.

Jessica Grace and Edris are no longer in a relationship. At the reunion, Jessica Grace revealed that Edris completely shut down on her after his proposal. He explained, “My heart was in the right place… I was going to get married.” However, he revealed that following the proposal, he felt “so f**king angry” because he wanted to pick Alex Johnsen for the trial marriage, but she and Jebin John had just been asked to leave the experiment. For that reason, he felt “forced to propose.” Obviously, that’s not a great start to an engagement, so their time officially together was short-lived.

While Jessica Grace and Edris went into couples’ counseling after they left the season, Jessica Grace broke up with Edris after hearing him talking to his friends about his “sexual attraction” to Alex. She explained, “I should not have to hear that from my fiancé.”

Cutting in, Vanessa Lachey told Jessica Grace, “Wait, you just opened a box,” urging her to explain those claims. “And we’re gonna keep it closed,” Jessica Grace responded. “‘Cause I’m not getting into that. He knows what it is, and it’s f**king disgusting.”

Yes, Edris messaged Alex while he and Jessica Grace were still working on their relationship (despite having broken up). Alex told the cast that Edris texted her, asking if she wanted to start their own trial marriage. Owning up to his crude comments, Edris wrote to his social media followers, “I said what I said because I was essentially scared. I was pushed to the brink of fear where pain was activated and I reacted in what I thought was defense – instead it became vindictive. Nobody in this world deserves what I said, ever. Oddly I was praying multiple times before and during that reunion: ‘God save me from being angry.’ I got angry… the fear won.”
