“I know how it looks,” he jokes in his pre-premiere interview, referencing his profession. “I promise I’m just looking for love.”
Bryce added that he’s looking for someone “that can really put me in my place, someone that is not scared to just say what they wanna say.” He noted, “Love is, like, you look someone in the eyes, and you have an understanding for them, and you feel who they are and what they’ve been through. It’s like a loving relationship.”

Bryce is 29 years old. “I’m, like, getting old,” he says in a promo video. “I’m turning 30 soon. The kids are calling me unc now.”
Where is Bryce Dettloff from?
When he isn’t in Fiji, Bryce resides in Los Angeles, California. He was born in Hawaii, according to his Insomniac profile, and grew up in Las Vegas. He was raised by his grandmother, so he wants to find someone whom he can introduce to “grams.”

What does Bryce Dettloff do for a living?
Bryce has quite an extensive resume beyond reality TV. In his intro video, he says that he’s primarily a model and DJ, but he’s also waited tables, worked in construction, and been a handyman. “If anything ever breaks in your house, just let me know,” he adds. “I do electrical work on garbage trucks sometimes. It’s literally so disgusting, but it’s like, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.”
He started modeling as early as 2014, according to his Instagram. His first post was a behind-the-scenes shot of a Calvin Klein campaign. Per Socialite Life, he was scouted randomly in Washington Square in New York City. He appears to be signed to DT Model Management currently.
The 29-year-old released his first single in 2022. According to his website, Bryce draws inspiration for his house music from artists like Fred again.. and Duskus, and has made music under labels like Guesstimate and Get The Sound. He’s a resident DJ at the Insomniac venue, Mesa. He’s performed with John Summit, Don Toliver, and more.
Bryce has also done some acting, according to his Backstage profile. He also has some screen credits on IMDb under Bryce Alakai, including the 2022 film Alabama Rose and The Third Eye: Major Arcana. He also appeared in a small background role on HBO’s The Other Two.
