Giada De Laurentiis gave fans a special glimpse into her longtime relationship with boyfriend Shane Farley.
The former Food Network star primarily keeps her social media feed focused on her Italian travels, sharing her latest recipes, and posting sweet pics with her daughter, Jade. However, De Laurentiis posted several photos of herself and Farley via Instagram on Monday, June 15, for a fun celebration.
“Happiest birthday to @shanefarley, you make our life so fun! Love you,” De Laurentiis captioned the upload. The post’s first slide featured a snap of the couple smiling for the camera while dining out for Farley’s birthday. Rather than blowing candles out of a cake, Farley appeared to choose a skillet cookie as his birthday dessert.
The post’s second slide featured a sweet snap of the couple posing with Farley’s dog. In the last slide, Farley lovingly looked down at De Laurentiis sitting in a chair, while she looked back up at him.

De Laurentiis shares her daughter with her ex-husband, Todd Thompson, to whom she was married from 2003 to 2015. She began dating Farley the same year she finalized her divorce, though the pair met two years prior.
De Laurentiis made rare comments about her and Farley’s relationship during a March 2025 episode of The Liz Moody Podcast. “You can do it with your friends. You can be like, ‘I got eight [thousand] today, what did you get?’ I do it with my boyfriend all the time,” she said of maintaining her goal of walking as much as possible. “I’m like, ‘How many steps did you get?’ He’s like, ‘I got 10,000.’ But he has longer legs. He moves faster than I do. I have to do double time to catch up with him.”
She also mentioned Farley when talking about her nighttime routine, stating, “Usually around 5:00, I start making dinner. My daughter comes in around 6 [p.m.] because she does theater rehearsals and then I just hang out with her for a while. She either comes in the kitchen or we chitchat. We eat dinner, my boyfriend does the dishes, and then I usually will go chill with my boyfriend or daughter depending on who needs what from me.”
Farley most recently appeared on De Laurentiis’s Instagram feed in a slideshow of photos from Jade’s high school graduation. De Laurentiis and Jade posed for group photos with both Farley and Thompson at the event.
