What To Know

  • JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette, where she met now-husband Jordan Rodgers, aired 10 years ago.
  • In an interview with Swooon, she looked back on her season, including a moment when she realized Rodgers was “the one.”

This summer is the 10-year anniversary of JoJo Fletcher‘s season of The Bachelorettewhich is how she met her now-husband, Jordan Rodgers. In an interview with Swooon, Fletcher reminisced about being on the show and revealed the moment she realized she could see a future with Rodgers.

The scene never aired during the show, but it sticks out in Fletcher’s mind as a special moment that solidified how strongly she felt about Rodgers.

“This is actually a moment where I think I started to realize Jordan was probably the one,” she said while promoting her partnership with Pampers for the Pampers AMORE diaper. “There was a lot of drama that came out about my ex, and there was a tabloid, and all the guys had seen it. It was just a lot of filming that was kind of happening behind the curtain that they were showing. I was a total mess, and when all the cameras were down we thought, Jordan came, and he found me.”

She called the gesture “so real” and reflected on Rodgers being a “support system” for her. “I would love to be able to find somewhere where that was documented and show [our daughter] because it’s such a great way to show how a man should be there for the person he loves and support them, and it not be for show. On these TV shows, it’s a lot of glitz and glam, and it feels like it’s not real, but that was a really real moment for us.”

Fletcher admitted that it’s “crazy” she and Rodgers have gotten to the 10-year mark, especially since not many Bachelor Nation couples last. “I can’t tell if it feels like we’ve been together longer or shorter,” she shared. “Ten years feels like a really long time, but at the same time, I feel like we’ve gone through so many different seasons of life together. And obviously having a daughter together is the biggest one yet.”

As for what keeps Fletcher and Rodgers’ relationship strong, she revealed, “Honestly, we are best friends. I know that sounds super cliché, but that has not changed for us. I think the ability to be able to do everything together … work together, we spend so much time together. We actually really enjoy each other’s company.”

Fletcher pointed out that she and Rodgers went through “ups and downs” while trying to conceive their daughter, but the “highs and lows” only brought them closer. “We always leaned on each other and through that support system we stayed super strong,” she gushed. “Now we get to celebrate having this daughter. We’re just a really good team.”
