‘Next Gen NYC’: Are Ariana Biermann & Hudson McLeroy Back Together?
Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy are back for Season 2 of Next Gen NYC. Before cameras picked up on the new season in the fall of 2025, the longtime couple broke up after nearly a decade of dating on and off, and Ariana recently teased that viewers will see the “ins and outs” of the split when the Bravo show returns on June 24.
The pair announced their breakup on October 14, 2025, with a statement on Instagram. “Hudson and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Ariana wrote on her Story. “While these things are never easy, we both know it’s what’s best for us right now. Sometimes life takes you in different directions and that’s okay. Love you all.”
But since the breakup, they’ve dropped hints that they might have gotten back together. Scroll down for more.
Are Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy back together?
Ariana and Hudson have not explicitly confirmed whether or not they’re dating again, but their recent social media activity has fans convinced that the relationship is back on.
On April 20, Hudson posted a photo dump that included a blurry image of a woman who appears to be Ariana. He captioned the post, “Back and better than ever…”

Earlier that month, Ariana posted a mirror selfie on her Instagram Story, and a man was standing behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist. While the mystery man’s face wasn’t visible, fans deduced that it was Hudson packing on the PDA with the reality star.
How did Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy meet?
Ariana and Hudson lived near each other in Atlanta as teenagers, but they didn’t meet until a chance encounter that Ariana’s older sister, Brielle Biermann, had on a beach in Florida. Ariana and Hudson were 14 at the time.
“We were in Florida, and she saw him on the beach and was like, ‘Oh my God, I need to get your Snapchat and see a picture of you. You’d be the love of my sister’s life,'” Ariana shared on the Comments by Celebs podcast in 2025.
After Brielle gave Ariana Hudson’s Snapchat information, they started talking via the app. “My sister took me for my birthday present on my first date with him after we’d been talking for six weeks over Snapchat, and we went there and she took us on a date,” Ariana dished.
While they did date for a bit at the time, Ariana’s strict parents made it difficult for them to have an actual relationship. They reconnected in 2022, and their relationship began for real.
“I feel like we both also just needed to experience dating other people and experience life on our own,” Ariana explained. “Because I don’t think we’d be able to be together now for three years if we had been together consecutively for the last nine. Like, that would be crazy.”
Why did Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy split?
We’ll learn more about the reason for the split on Next Gen NYC Season 2, but Ariana teased to Us Weekly, “It wasn’t a decision that I made overnight. It was a decision that I made over the course of a year.”
At the time of the 2025 breakup, Ariana and Hudson had been together for three years. She had previously told Bravo’s Daily Dish that she had a five-year relationship rule: “If he doesn’t propose in five years, which is in a little less than two years, it’s a no,” she explained, also adding, “He talks about it all the time. So I’m like, ‘Stop talking about it and do it or don’t do it.'”
It’s unclear whether the lack of proposal had anything to do with the breakup.
