Since Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola returned to Jersey Shore in 2023, her relationship with now-husband Justin May has been documented on the show. The couple has been open about their journey to have a child, and the current season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has followed Sammi’s pregnancy.
Amid the ups and downs, Sammi and Justin got engaged in 2024 and tied the knot in December 2025. “Justin coming into my life made my life a million times better,” Sammi previously said on the show. “He is just everything I could ever ask for in a man. He’s patient. He’s supportive. And I just love and adore him so much.”

Justin’s most recent job was as a correctional officer in Ocean County, New Jersey, although it’s unclear if he still holds that position now that his reality television career is taking off.
How did Sammi Sweetheart and Justin May meet?
Sammi actually first met Justin during the original Jersey Shore run when he was working as a bouncer at Karma nightclub, which the cast often frequented. At the time, she was in an on/off relationship with Ronnie Oritz-Magro, and Justin has recalled seeing Sammi cry in the club. He also once carried castmate Deena Cortese out of Karma during a wild night.
The couple reconnected at some point in 2021, although it’s unclear what brought them back together. They confirmed their romance in November of that year.

Yes, Sammi and Justin have one child. Their son, Vincent, was born in August 2025. Prior to his birth, Sammi had a miscarriage in 2024.
