What To Know

- Steve is currently serving a prison sentence after pleading guilty to federal crop insurance fraud.
Steve McBee reported to prison in December 2025 after pleading guilty to one count of federal crop insurance fraud, leaving his family members and business partner, Galyna Saltkovska, to run the family business in Missouri. The aftermath of his sentencing has been documented on Season 3 of The McBee Dynasty.
Amid all of this, Galyna has also been dealing with the end of her romantic relationship with Steve after his affair with her friend, Masha Petrova. The ladies met face-to-face during last week’s episode, and Galyna gave Swooon an update on where she stands with everyone today.
The CFO of McBee Farm & Cattle Co. told us that she and Steve are still in touch via email. “There’s a certain system. Obviously, we’re still business partners, so it’s very important for me to stay in touch and give him updates on the business or being able to ask questions as needed,” she explained.
However, she’s officially shut the door on any possibility of a romantic reconciliation with her ex, who was married to his wife, Kristi McBee, when they first got together.
“I mean, I would really start questioning myself if I [were to] submerge myself into that relationship again,” Galyna laughed. “We are going to continue being friends and partners, and that’s what we are exploring now. Definitely never a personal relationship. It’s … what is it called? Doing the same thing is the definition of insanity, right? Yes. No, that chapter is also closed.”
In general, dating is not Galyna’s priority right now. “I’m just enjoying my time to myself,” she explained. “I go to dinners. I’m not seeing anybody serious at this time. I’m just trying to get my professional career going, just heal from the previous experiences. I’m not in a rush to immediately get into a whole separate serious relationship. I’m just trying to have fun and enjoy my friends and my daughter, going out, traveling. So that’s where I’m at.”

Scroll down for more from Galyna about her relationship with Masha, what she knows about Masha and Steve’s current status, and more.
We saw you really speak your mind to Masha in the last episode. Has your relationship with her changed at all since then? Where do you guys stand now?
Galyna Saltkovska: Yes, that was a pretty powerful episode. And thank you so much for noticing that. There is definitely not any kind of relationship or not going to be ever. After you experience the betrayal of that level, it’s extremely dramatic. It’s very traumatic. It takes a long time to overcome, and I’m finally in a good place in my life, and this chapter is definitely closed forever. There will never be any kind of relationship there. The lack of any kind of remorse or empathy or even just trying to understand was kind of astonishing.
Did you have more conversations with her after that? Are there going to be further developments, or was that kind of the nail in the coffin?
Galyna: For me, that was it. Yes, absolutely. I spoke my piece. I realized there is absolutely nothing there. It’s behind me. Time to move on.

As far as you know, are Masha and Steve still together?
Galyna: I honestly don’t pay any more attention to that. I would imagine because of the type of person she is. I don’t really want to ask those questions. If they are, more power to them, happy for them. I hope they’re going to live happily ever after.
Is it difficult for you to remain so close to the rest of the family and be so involved in the business after everything that went down?
Galyna: It’s a different chapter. So it just taught us how to overcome certain things, put it behind us, and learn new ways of being friends or move on. Because again, I’m not going to have personal relationships or betrayals or anything like that be in the way of everything that we’ve accomplished. Steve and I … we did build businesses together, which was extremely time-consuming. And obviously, I put my heart and soul into it. I built relationships and friendships with the boys, boys’ mom, and I’m not going to just ruin all of that just because Steve’s and I relationship did not work out. So I definitely now learn how to completely separate personal relationships from my friendships and professional life.
What are you specifically doing for the company right now, and where do you see yourself going within the company in the next few years?
Galyna: All of us had to change our responsibility since Steve went away. A lot of us have to take additional responsibility. So what I really enjoyed seeing is how the boys stepped up. So my job really essentially did not change just because the boys stepped up to the plate so much. Initially, I was a little bit worried about Steve going away, but we just had to readjust certain ways of doing business. But ultimately, I feel like we’ve done a really good job while he’s away maintaining all the operations and making the decisions. But yes, nothing changed for me since Steve went away. I still oversee the car wash operations. I do various tasks throughout all the other businesses and help the boys with whatever they need.
We really saw the good place that you’ve gotten to with Kristi. How were you able to mend that relationship, and where do things stand with you and her now?
Galyna: Yeah, that was definitely a journey. And when we first had an interaction in Season 2, I was very grateful that I had the opportunity to meet with her, and we were able to have a really good, authentic conversation about our experiences. And I know that I was very humble about it. She’s the mother of the children, and it meant everything to me that she came over and gave me a chance to talk to her, and she was very, very kind to me and understanding. So from there, we just started interacting more and more often. And then, of course, when Steve went away, she became more involved in the business, as well. That’s helped us learn even more about each other. And then she also experienced Masha. So what really made it very special for me is the fact that she already knew me and my work ethic and how loyal I am to the boys, and then she experienced Masha. And the fact that she really got my back during that situation, it was just incredible. So yes, I’m grateful for our friendship, and I’m grateful that we were able to overcome the past and are just enjoying the future.
How is your daughter doing?
Galyna: She is doing amazing. She finished her first year of law school in University of Nebraska, and she’s actually interning here this summer in Kansas City. So I’m able to spend a lot more time with her for the first time in many years, and it’s definitely super amazing. Of course, [the show] was quite an experience for her, and I know that she went through a lot, especially in Season 2. So I think we are in a completely different place now and she’s doing great.
What else are you looking forward to people seeing this season?
Galyna: Well, there is still a lot more to come. Yeah. Let’s say nobody’s leaving this season unscathed, so there’s still more to come, a lot more surprises. I think this is literally the best season we’ve had so far. And yeah, like I said, continue buckling up with still more to come.
