‘The McBee Dynasty’: Cole Gives Update on Wedding Plans With Kacie Adkison

The McBee Dynasty stars Cole McBee and Kacie Adkison have gone through their fair share of ups and downs. After dating off and on since they were teenagers, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Blair, in December 2024. Less than a year later, Cole proposed.
Now, Kacie is pregnant with baby No. 2, and wedding planning is underway. In an interview with Swooon, Cole opened up about when he and his bride-to-be plan to walk down the aisle.
While the couple doesn’t “have a date yet,” they know they’re tying the knot on the McBee family’s farm. However, they’re waiting until Cole’s dad, Steve McBee, finishes his prison time for federal crop insurance fraud before they say “I do.” In October 2025, Steve was sentenced to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to the charge against him.
“We’re hoping he’ll be out by the end of the year at some time, so we’re waiting to get that date and see,” Cole said. “We want him to be back for it. Now that we’ve already waited this long and we’re [going to have] two kids, we did things a little backwards already, so we’ll just keep on doing it [that way]. We’re just going to wait for him to get back.”
That means the wedding will be “next year at some point,” Cole added. “Either spring or fall. We’re trying to figure out what we want, but it’ll be next year, at some point in 2027.”
Cole also confirmed that his engagement proposal was filmed for Season 3 of The McBee Dynasty, which premieres on June 15. “It was such a cool night,” he gushed. “Kacie really deserved something special, and I think she loved it. It was a special night, and it will be cool for everyone to watch that.”
As for why he finally popped the question after nearly a decade, Cole explained, “We’ve known each other for so long. We’ve grown up together. We’ve had our bad moments, we were on and off for a few years, but the last few years we have been doing so good.”
He continued, “I’m not one to sit here and say if your relationship is rocky, have a kid. That wasn’t planned. But for us, when Blair came along, seeing Kacie become a mom and what Blair did for me – helping me grow up and being more of a father figure and better example for her – I’d say it helped our relationship tremendously. It helped us both grow up a lot.”
