All About ‘Married at First Sight’s Adam Dehmlow: His Job & More
What To Know
- Adam Dehmlow is featured as a husband-to-be on Season 20 of Married at First Sight.
- He leads an active, “disciplined” lifestyle at his lakefront cabin.
- Adam was matched with Marissa Meyer, whom he recognized at the altar.
Married at First Sight‘s Adam Dehmlow was the first husband-to-be viewers met during Season 20 of the reality series. The 31-year-old explained that he was settled in his career and had a good group of friends, but a wife was the “missing piece” in his life. Throughout his 20s, he was in “nonstop relationships” that didn’t work because the women were more focused on partying than settling down and having a “disciplined” way of life.
During Episode 1, Adam described his active lifestyle on his lakefront cabin and showed off his classical piano skills. After learning that the matchmakers found him a wife, he also had to call a woman that he’d been seeing to end their relationship. “I won’t be able to keep seeing you, and I just wanted to say I’ve had an awesome time with you, so I’m sorry,” he explained. It got a… not-so-great reaction from the woman.
What else is there to know about Adam as Season 20 unfolds? What’s his job? Is he still with his MAFS match, who recognized him at the altar? Keep reading for Adam’s background and more details.
What is Adam’s job?
Adam, who’s been doing his job for about six years, said that he was “completely set financially” and making more money than he expected. He’s a data analyst, though for which company remains a mystery. He doesn’t appear to have a LinkedIn, though on his Facebook page, he lists Varsity Tutors and LiquidHub as past places of employment. It appears he got his undergrad degree from Washington State University before getting a master’s in business analytics from the University of Washington.
What is Adam’s Instagram?
Adam wasn’t kidding about leading an active lifestyle. He’s posted videos of himself skiing, snowboarding, and wakeboarding on his Instagram profile, @adam_dehmlow. He also runs an Instagram account for his cat, Blaze the Maine Coon. Blaze has also surpassed his dad in followers with over 55,000 of them.

Who did Adam marry on Married at First Sight Season 20?
During Episode 1, the experts matched Adam with 30-year-old program manager Marissa Meyer, who described her love for reading and going to the gym. Paul C. Brunson said, “[Her] willingness could open Adam up, and that’s exactly what we want because we want his heart and she has the keys.”
Episode 1 ended with Marissa approaching Adam at the altar — but it ended on a dramatic note. They recognized each other, so they aren’t total strangers like the majority of MAFS couples.
How does Adam know Marissa?
The episode ended before we could find out how Adam and Marissa were connected before the show, though we can expect an explanation in Episode 2, which airs on Thursday, July 16.
Are Adam and Marissa still together?
This is when we look to social media for clues, since we won’t know their fate until further on in the season. Adam and Marissa don’t currently follow each other on Instagram, but you never know if a couple is trying to throw fans off.
“I do my own stunts,” Marissa wrote on Instagram when her MAFS casting was announced. “I can’t believe the secret is finally out! Overwhelmed by all the love of my gigantic support system this week. You guys are sooo crazy for letting me do this!!”
