The Queen of Hallmark is headed to Paris! Ahead of the holiday season, Lacey Chabert has a brand-new TV show that is all about love in the City of Love. Paris Is Always a Good Idea premieres this July, and we have a feeling this show is going to make you want to book your flight to France ASAP.
The limited series is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Jenn McKinlay. Chabert is joined by an incredible ensemble cast in the Hallmark+ show. From what Paris Is Always a Good Idea is about to the episode schedule, here’s a guide to the Hallmark romance series.
When is Paris Is Always a Good Idea coming out?
The show will premiere the first two episodes on Thursday, July 30, exclusively on Hallmark+. After that, a new episode will be released every Thursday, with the finale set to drop on August 27. There will be six episodes total. Hallmark hasn’t announced whether or not the show will air on the Hallmark Channel.
What Is Paris Is Always a Good Idea about?
Chelsea Martin is a career-driven nonprofit executive who travels to Paris to secure a major donor, and she soon realizes that her rival-turned-ally, Jason Knightly, is joining her. During her time in Paris, Chelsea receives an unexpected message from her late mother, sending her on a journey to reconnect with three loves she left behind in Europe. In addition to Paris, this life-changing adventure takes Chelsea to Ireland and Spain, as she looks back at her life and past romances while trying to move forward.

McKinlay’s book was released in July 2020. When the TV adaptation was announced in March, McKinlay shared her excitement. “For my readers who made Jason Knightley your book boyfriend, he’ll be played by @scottmfoster and all I can say is…WELL DONE @hallmarkplus He’s a perfect Knightley to @thereallacey as Chelsea Martin. Who is in the Paris Is Always a Good Idea cast?
The lovely Lacey Chabert plays Chelsea Martin in the Hallmark+ series. Greek alum Scott Michael Foster stars as Jason Knightly. The cast also includes Henry Czerny as Glenn, Chelsea’s father; Rebecca Hanssen as Annabelle, Chelsea’s sister; Barbara Niven as Sherrie; Stephen Hagan as Colin; Julien Samani as Sebastian; and Alejandro Albarracín as Marcos.

Back in May, Chabert shared a carousel of photos from her time filming the romance series. “New friends, new places, and lots of coffee. Very thankful for this experience,” she captioned the post.
