‘Golden Bachelorette’s Joan Vassos Admits to Uncertainty About Future With Chock Chapple

Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple have been engaged for two years, but they still don’t have any plans to tie the knot. In fact, in a new interview, Vassos admitted that she and her fiancé don’t really have any future plans at all.
Vassos reunited with another one of her Golden Bachelorette contestants, Pascal Ibgui, on the In My Hometown podcast and made some surprising confessions about the current state of her relationship with Chapple.
She admitted that in the first year of her relationship with Chapple, they were seeing each other every two weeks, which they “needed” in order to “get to know each other better.” Now, though, they generally go “three weeks to a month” without seeing each other.
“I’m going to get a lot of criticism,” Vassos realized. “All you people are going to DM me and tell me it’s not enough [time]. It’s what we can do, and it works for us. We haven’t grown apart because we’re not seeing each other as much. We have great times together.”
She pointed out that their meet-ups are usually not at her home in Maryland or Chapple’s in Kansas. “We get together in L.A., or we get brought out to [events],” Vassos explained. “We see each other in really fun places. Every time we see each other, it’s usually some form of vacation. We’re going to Europe at the end of August for two weeks.”
Vassos revealed that she and Chapple still have no plans of relocating. “I think we’re a work in progress still,” she admitted. “I have a family that’s evolving. I have kids that are having babies. I had two granddaughters last month, my son is getting married. I’m still very much needed at home. I also have an aging mother and mother-in-law, and I need to be there with them. So the thought of moving isn’t really on our agenda right now.”
She concluded, “We’re evolving. We haven’t figured out what our future looks like. We certainly don’t have a five-year plan. I’m not even sure we have a one-year plan. We’re kind of coasting along, living day-to-day, to be honest.”
