“My online persona is Hella Hot Wife, and she’s hella fun,” Double Lives of Suburban Wives star Heather told Swooon, publicly owning her adult content career for one of the first times ahead of the series premiere.
Heather and her husband, Shawn, have been married for almost 20 years. However, seven years ago, their relationship took a major turn when they started an adult content business. The catch? Nobody in their family knows about their private career, including Shawn’s mother, who lives with them. Now that Double Lives of Suburban Wives is finally here, Heather sat down with Swooon to take viewers inside her life and reveal how she’s handled taking her career public.
“I am a wife, and I’m a mom,” Heather told Swooon. “Those two things always come first. So, I just want everyone to remember that as they’re watching the show. Just know that we are real-life people. We have families that we take care of.”
According to Heather, she started creating adult content after having her fourth kid. “We had started an X account,” she revealed, looking back. “I was struggling with my body after having my last kid. My husband actually started one for us, and he realized that we were getting a lot of likes on my pictures. I would wake up some days to over 1,000 likes just in the beginning, which is really good.”
She continued, “After a while of just posting and having fun with it, I took it over, and I started posting my own things, and I was just having a blast. And we were gaining a lot of followers. I’m like, ‘Why don’t we try to do this for real? Maybe try to make some extra money off of it.’ So I decided to go to the content side.” While Heather is known as Hella Hot Wife online, her husband is referred to as Hella Hot Wife Hubby.

Heather and Shawn first met when she was 17, and he was 19. She explained, “We met through a mutual friend. I was just watching TV one day, and my friend called, and he’s like, ‘Hey, you’ve been dating the wrong guys. I have one for you. Do you care if we stop by and pick you up?'” That day, they went bowling and parted ways. Six months later, they ran into each other and “finally started dating.” Three months later, Heather was pregnant.
Today, Heather and Shawn live with their four kids and his mother, whom they hide their spicy content career from. Heather explained that she was incredibly hesitant to join the cast of the show, knowing that it would cost her the privacy she has tried to protect.
When it comes to how Heather and Shawn have kept their content creation from his mother so far, she revealed that her mother-in-law thinks their content studio is her office. When asked if her MIL ever asked to see inside the room, Heather explained, “She’s not really into our business, which has obviously made it much easier. I’ve known her for almost 19 years now, and she’s never tried to get in our business, so that helps a lot.” According to Heather, she told her kids and her mother-in-law that they were on a show about families and her influencer career.
