Roberts is a user experience (UX) growth consultant. He helps launch websites for small businesses.
“I love helping other subscription startups implement the best practices I’ve developed to quickly and sustainably grow with Facebook Ads, website conversion-rate optimization, and user experience design,” Roberts wrote on a now-deleted LinkedIn account, per People.
How did AOC and Riley Roberts meet?
Ocasio-Cortez met her future husband when they were both students at Boston University. She described their first meeting as happening in “truly nerdy fashion,” telling Vogue they first crossed paths at a weekly town hall with the school’s dean of students.
In the biography Take Up Space: The Unprecedented AOC, a friend described Roberts as a “s**t starter,” noting, “Riley was just like, ‘This is dumb. Why are we all going around in a circle saying the same thing?’ He enjoyed intellectual combat, and I think she enjoyed his pushback.”
After graduating from college in 2011, Ocasio-Cortez and Roberts broke up, but eventually reconnected around 2015. He eventually moved from Arizona to New York to be with her.
When is AOC getting married?
There is no public information about a wedding date for AOC and Roberts, as they are mostly private about their relationship and have not shared the details. They have been engaged since 2022.
Business Insider first reported on the engagement, and AOC confirmed on X, “It’s true! Thank you all for the well wishes.”
At the time, she made it clear that she and Roberts were not in a rush to tie the knot. “We got engaged last month in my family’s hometown in Puerto Rico,” Ocasio-Cortez told Business Insider. “No future details yet, we’re taking some space to savor this time before diving into planning.”
Does AOC have kids?
AOC, who turns 37 in October 2026, does not have children yet. However, she confirmed on August 9 that she is freezing her eggs while deciding her next moves politically.

“This is a choice that I am making to feel more in control of my life,” she shared.
Further expanding on her decision, she told ABC News, “In this political environment where this administration is denying reproductive care to women across the country, from abortion rights to the ability to carry out a healthy pregnancy, I think it’s important for us as leaders to have these conversations and share these processes, especially for working women across the country and normalize them.”
She also admitted on her Instagram Story that she’d been thinking about taking this step for “a very long time” and noted that it’s something that she’s been saving up to afford.
