Netflix Announces Weight Loss Dating Show: All About ‘Weight to Date’
Netflix’s newest reality series is here with a shocking premise. The reality series, titled Weight to Date, is set to follow singles during and after extreme weight loss journeys.
On August 18, Netflix announced Weight to Date (working title), a reality series currently casting singles ready to find love after their journeys with weight loss. This series joins Netflix’s current slate of reality dating TV series, including Love Is Blind, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Age of Attraction, Let’s Marry Harry, and Love on the Spectrum.

What is Weight to Date?
Weight to Date is Netflix’s newest reality dating format. The logline explains that the series “follows singles during and after extreme weight loss as they navigate dating, identity, and the search for lasting love.” It’s currently unclear whether this series will be more along the lines of Love on the Spectrum, following couples’ real-life journeys, or Age of Attraction, where singles are brought to the same location to date. From the casting description, which calls the series a docuseries, we’d expect it to lean more towards the Love on the Spectrum format.

Weight to Date is currently casting! The casting call reads, “Are you ready to find love after significant body change? An award-winning production company is currently casting a new docuseries and looking for individuals who are ready to date after having a major weight loss. When will Weight to Date Season 1 premiere?
Right now, there is no set premiere date for Weight to Date. Seeing as the series is currently casting, we’d guess that viewers will have to wait until 2027 at the earliest to watch the TV show come to life.
